are these white anchovys

I don't believe they are, but they are the best anchovies I've ever had.

Is this in Extra virgin olive oil?

It does not say extra virgin olive oil.

Has anyone else had a problem with the cans leaking, broken seals?

I have bought these for years. Never had a problem with leaking or broken seals. The last ones I bought recently came wrapped in 3, and in a good amount of bubble wrap. But shipping from amazon has deteriorated in the past few years-packing is a joke and I have had other food products (that in the past came just fine), now come broken or punctured or ripped or leaking. I now believe it's not a product's mfg defect or a problem with it's original shipping to storage warehouses or individual sellers each time- but instead the poor shipping practices (starting with the packing, then UPS or FED EX or USPS shipping from it's last place of storage---to us. I now order only one item at a time-less chance of a problem. PS We LOVE LOVE LOVE these anchovies-nothing else is as good.

So for the folks who said the tin says "40% olive oil," I can't find it in the pics (I don't have, for the life of me).I don't see it on-line either.

46% olive oil means forty-six percent by weight of the contents of the can is olive oil, so <54% anchovies. You see this a lot in canned fish(or meats suspended in a fluid): Herring, 75%(fish); Tuna, Net weight 5oz, Dr(drained) weight 4oz; etc... Look at it this way, two ounces equals 56grams. From the Nutritional Facts, there are about two 16gm servings per container or ~32gms. ~32gm/56gm=~57% anchovies or about 43% olive oil. Close enough...
