Love these things. Works every time you hit the target, just like it should, and had no problem seeing it at 400yrds in direct bright daylight. Makes shooting even more fun

I recently started shooting steel out to 600 yards, and this makes seeing my hits so much easier. You can clearly see it blink through the scope, but it can be seen with the naked eye as well if you have good vision. I haven't accidentally shot it yet, but it is designed so only the LEDs stick out past the edge of the steel, and since they are wired in parallel, if you hit any it won't shut down the entire string like old-school Christmas lights. I haven't run down the first battery yet, so I can't comment on battery life. I've been shooting 6.5 Grendel almost exclusively, and it has always registered hits. Fantastic product.

I purchased this hit indicator to use in conjunction with the Caldwell AR500 steel target and mount kit to use at my homestead gun range. I placed this setup on a T-post at 300 yards and in the bright Texas daylight it is easy to see and verify hits. The LEDs are compact but extremely bright The design is very simple and effective and low profile to help avoid direct hits on the LEDs themselves. Eventually I know someone is going to have a direct hit on the exposed LEDs so the fact that it only costs $30 is awesome. Quick heads up if you have the monthly Amazon warranty plan (which I do) and you accidentally damage this hit indicator you can get it replaced for free no questions asked ! Worth the $15 monthly fee and it covers all past, present and future purchases.

This thing is pretty cool and necessary if you are shooting long range, especially if it's windy and you can't hear steel impacts. There is one drawback to these things and I think it's the obvious question you're currently asking yourself, what if you shoot it? Funny story, I shot mine from 1000 yards away (on accident, which eventually is inevitable) and then it wouldn't stop blinking but we reset it and it works again even though there's a hole through the top part of the lights 😅 (I'll update the post with a photo when my cousin brings it back) Durable? It's like the A10 warthog, you can put holes through it and it will keep on going. There's a Monty Python reference there too, it's just a flesh wound 😅 maybe I just got lucky and shooting it would normally break the thing but I'd say it's durable! Easy to set up, stick the Velcro provided to the back of your target, then stick the light to it with just the lights showing and your ready to go. It says it's effective up to a mile I think, and I believe it. Super easy to see from 1000 yards. Need to buy a couple more for when I eventually shoot the rest of the lights off lol but I would recommend this for sure!

These are a game changer, at a reasonable price. If you are shooting long range or have limited sight of your steel target, these are great. I am a long-range instructor, and these make spotting hits at over 1000yds a breeze. They are tough, we have had some that have damaged LEDs from bullet strikes and the other lights continue to work. Tough, affordable device that aids in more effective training. Also makes the job of the spotter much easier !

This thing was awesome. Used it for mile long shots and it was very visible and reacted to every hit. Could not be more happy with it!

Works very well, when attached to steel. The lights are bright and very easy to see, at 100-200 yards, so far, at the range.

Makes those long range hits visible even in heavy wind if you can't hear the impact. Very bright and easy to install. Comes with extra velcro for reinstall.

Velcro peeled off from the indicator(not the target) the glue didn’t hold and sent it flying. Target is 5 inch 3/8 ar500 held by chain, shot at by 6.5 creed at 300y . Would be fine with .22 and probably .223 or maybe with a larger gong.
