Great Post surgery option
I put it on for the first time yesterday, which was 12 days post Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff surgery and my 3 holes in shoulder still have stitches but did not bother me. This product is actually amazing and for me personally i could have someone help me put it on while i was still wearing my sling. Not only is it a MILLION times easier on yourself if your up and about it will not move and in my case it actually supports and keeps the shoulder tight and where it’s supposed to be with my sling. If your thinking about getting one because your active and tired of holding it or falling off, or so you can keep up on Doctors orders effortlessly give it try. Just wait at least until your skin where stitches are is dry and only healing from inside so you don’t cause yourself discomfort. Very good quality made and affordable asset to my Arthroscopic Rotator cuff surgery recovery process. It’s nice and thin and you can adjust how much compression is applied with velcro strap's and zero skin irritation.

Great solution for shoulder pain
My shoulder has consistently been hurting (supposedly a labrum problem) - I've been doing stretches, but when the acute pain kicks in, I pop on this wrap and it's great relief and way easier than trying to balance ice packs on my shoulder while lying down. The good: Seems to be good quality construction, pretty easy to put the ice pack in the sleeve, and once it's on, it's easy to move around while the shoulder is getting iced. It's also nice that they include a plastic bag to separate the ice pack from freezer food smells. The not as good: As others mentioned, it takes little practice to put it on quickly. Put the velcro together first, because whether you put your arm through the sleeve first, or put the strap around your body first, you wont be able to fasten the velcro with your opposite hand only. Also, this only has relatively small coverage for the outer shoulder area (centered around the point of the shoulder), so if you're looking for coverage around the high shoulder/neck area, this may not work very well there. Suggestions to the manufacturer (if they read these): The velcro attach for the sleeve is ok, but the plastic part of the velcro is definitely scratchy and uncomfortable sometimes. Given that and the difficulty putting the velcro on with one hand, they should make it a pull through strap with the velcro on the outside (similar to a blood pressure monitor cuff). Other thing - the plastic bag for the ice pack for some reason is too small to seal, but enough to cover the pack from touching other things.

Cool but not for long
This shoulder ice pack wrap has been helpful for managing my shoulder pain and recovery. It fits well and provides good compression around the rotator cuff area. While the ice doesn’t stay cool for a very long time, it still offers effective short-term relief. I haven’t used the heat feature yet, but the cold therapy has been useful for tendinitis flare-ups. It’s easy to put on and adjust, and the wrap is comfortable to wear while resting.

Excellent
This ice holding sling has been a lifesaver following rotator cuff surgery. I highly recommend it. This stays secured to my shoulder so I can walk around without being attached to the other types that have a cooler. A baggie full of ice also works, but it’s not as convenient as it will slip off your shoulder as the ice melts. If you’re having shoulder pain or surgery and need a product like this, then this is the one to get! I don’t have a big budget and I can’t afford to waste money.

Not what I was hoping for...
It is good quality but isn't as good as others out there. I returned it for an all in one gel.

Comfortable if you get the right size.
I originally ordered the large size. I had my wife measure my biceps with a fabric tape and it was 14". I'm not sure if the company mixed up millimeters and inches, but the strap around the biceps was so short (it's elastic) that when stretched enough to adhere to the Velcro, it was like a tourniquet. I ordered the x-large and it came today, and fits fine. If you are donning this by yourself, hook the velcro strap first and put it on like a sleeve. I was a Physical Therapist for 20 years but it was a long time ago. That said, here's some information about the physiology of using cold that might help. 1. The pack (ice pack inside the wrap) needs to be next to the skin for maximum effect. 2. 20 min is the effective time for the cold to do its thing. Longer won't make it more effective. 3. Initially, cold can cause achiness. We used to use chipped ice in a plastic trash bag and apply directly to skin. You might also experience some achiness and throbbing. Pain relief is at the end of this. These symptoms usually go away after the 3rd or so treatment, and my patients loved the ice once they were used to it. 4. Cold produces initial vasoconstriction (blood vessels get smaller in diameter). When you make snowballs, this looks like whitish skin. Then the body realizes this is dangerous for the skin and vasodilatation (blood vessels get bigger in diameter) occurs and floods the tissue with blood. This causes the redness. This is what helps healing. 5. Pain nerve fibers are type-C non-myelinated structures (electrical wires have insulation on them. Pain nerves are like bare wire) and are more susceptible to cold and heat. Cold slows down the nerve conduction velocity which results in decreased pain. Hope this helps. The pack is comfortable to wear. I found using a pillow to support my arm (sitting) helped.

Good for keeping cooling in place
Good option for sore shoulder. I use periodically when my “frozen” shoulder acts up. A bit awkward to lace up when shoulder already in pain by myself, but I manage. Helpful to be able to use this as side sleeper when pain is keeping me awake.

Position is everything!
Now that I've got your attention I'll share my review ;). Ok it's a one piece wrap of sturdy foamy stretchy stuff. Yes I like to keep it scientific with the terminology. It also has a strap you attach like a handbag or manbag. It does not provide instructions for this but if you need that you really shouldn't be trusted opening boxes, so.. The good: Arrived fast. Packaged very well in plastic in perfectly sized box. Nice enough to gift even. Pleasant little note inside to thank you. Good quality material. Stretchy and resilent. Adjustable velcro closing for tiny to large bodies. Large enough brace for my 6 ft 2 bohemouth son but also fits me. Ice pack is big enough to cover entire shoulder and has a pouch to hold it in place. It also has a bag to keep it from getting food odors in the freezer. Both the arm hole and the body belt are adjustable with velcro that isn't itchy or rough. Does not stick to clothing either. The bad: It requires you know how to put a strap through a plastic strap thingy and how to operate velcro. The ice bag is heavy because it's big. I like this but you can decide for yourself if it's bad. If you have xx huge arms it may not fit. I didn't get it months ago. And lastly, position it properly for relief. This is essential. Ladies, you think it should go under the breast because why would anyone want a strap on the breast. But no. This was designed, like 90% of the unisex products on the market, for men. You will need it over the breast to brace the shoulder properly. Otherwise it sits too low.. You need to wear loose clothing over it. Summary: I think it's a good product for the price.

Good quality but design could be improved
Good quality but for me it should cover more of the top part of the shoulder

hay otros mas practicos.
Es poco practico estarlo sacando de la funda para meterlo al refrigerador.

Flexible, comfortable and it works!
Pretty flexible shoulder pouch for muscle rehab. You get a large gel pad that kind of moulds to the contour of your should, sat in a pocket on the pad. The gel's ice cold in around 30 minutes, so not too long to wait (I didn't want to keep it in the freezer). A bit of a faff to put on, but you get used to it quickly. Easy to adjust the chest strap, to keep it all in place. It's comfortable to wear at rest, I've not been really active in it, so can't comment on if it stays in place when moving. I'm using it for cold therapy, so haven't tried heating the pad. Looking at the design though, It should work just as well. The only gripe for me is holding the top part around the curve of the shoulder toward the neck. Maybe the large size would have worked? Overall I'm satisfied with outcome - no ibuprofen needed on the days when I use it!
