Origin and shorts
New take away on Wolverines beginning and how his animal likeness developed along with some action adventure tales. The origin seems to incorporate some continuity with the movies.

Decent collection
Pretty decent collection of stories, be ready for a lot (especially the end. Maybe 50 ish)of filler pages, though.Still worth the money, though.

First I'm going to rant
The problem with these 'Epic Collection' ebooks is that they are NOT very compatible with eReaders. You can't enlarge the panels. Here I am with my Kindle Fire having to break out my magnifying glass just to read the book. Some pages I simply had to give up on because there was no way I could make out that teeny tiny font. I'm not saying don't get the book, I'm saying don't get the ebook. As for the collection itself, it is fifty-fifty. The first half is rather forgettable stories with forgettable artwork. All the male characters are lumpy and the female characters have built in floatation devices. No, what you want to do is go to the last half of the book which is comprised of the complete origin story of a young Wolverine. The story and the artwork were superior, and I was able to read all of it (with my magnifying glass).

Four Stars
Wolverine and Deadpool! only reason not 5* is art toward the end

Good stories, guess starring Deadpool, Spider-Man, just name a few.
As a long time Wolverine fan, this collection of issues I have not read in awhile, and now that I own this book I can. Near the end of the book there are a lot of pages, about the Wolverine Origins series; contained in this book. Overall, a really good book.

Never mind the cover, it's Wolverine: Origin that's the gem inside here
This is one of those chunky collections from Marvel that bundles a whole host of individual issues together - but by golly this is as mismatched a collection as you'll find. The front half is exactly what you'd expect from the cover, a bunch of Rob Liefeld-era Wolverine that's pretty low on story quality and all about the art style of the day. It even has one of those Wolverine vs Deadpool fights that makes no sense whatsoever, not least that Deadpool shows up with a whole gang of dull new supervillains who then play no role in the fight. It's the kind of thing that did big numbers in the 90s but is pretty hard to read going back. And then you get to the second half of the book which is the utterly splendid Wolverine: Origin, written by Jemas, Jenkins and Quesada and beautifully illustrated by Kubert and Isanove. It's a level of quality light years above the rest of the book and worth it for that alone. So, one star for the front of the book, five stars for the back. I'll average that out as three - because goodness knows if you've got Origin in the collection and you opt for a Liefeld picture as the cover, you're missing the lede.
