Russian For Dummies

Very good book 📖 for me to remember russian language as sometimes forget couple words 😉 as I learn russian language before this book helps me to remember, I have no idea for people who want learn this language from the start as first time🙊🙉🙈

It makes pronunciation so much easier and I like that it includes useful information about the country as well

I got this to help my lessons as the grammar is slightly complicated. This book helps break it down in simple explanations and covers quite a lot for a starter book.Only annoying that some areas eg numbers, are not extended beyond 1-10 in relation to 1st/2nd/3rd etc ways of usage, ordinal, genitive etc are different so could’ve had a table for this then related it to the correct context.But a good overall book and covers quite a bit. Only bought to help with my lessons otherwise I’d probably go to YouTube as many videos on Russian that are really good. 🤘🏼

The well structured contents and chatty style is a great confidence boost for a beginner like me. Started with the electronic copy but found the interface too awkward to use with such a learning/reference book. The physical book is a much better learning aid from the perspective of tagging pages and flicking back and forth to reinforce learning.

So far I am very pleased with this manual. I have just started to teach myself some basic Russian and find the layout easy to understand and I hope to be able to exchange a few words with my Russian friends when next I see them!
