Yes, they do cover the camera, but frankly they are crazy ugly and totally detract from the Echo Spot. A small piece of black electrical tape looks better. I'll take the hit for buying it because I thought it might be a little more pleasing to look at than a piece of tape or a Post It note. The silver color is pretty glaring. Maybe I'll paint them...

Easy to apply,and they’re very simple to use. For those of us who don’t quite trust the off button,or don’t want the camera on while using the audio function this is a quick and cheap fix. I only have one complaint and that’s they’re not available in a flat black color which would match my spot.

You get better privacy with a mechanical shut off then an electronic one. It is unfortunate you have to pay for two if you don't buy two Echo Spots. It is neat and fastened to the screen protector fine.

After we bought the Echo spot as an alarm clock, we realized there is no way to be sure that camera doesn't cut on at a bad time...<sarcasm>Because Echos don't ever cut on and record randomly, do they? </sarcasm>So this covers the camera completely.

Fantastic. I honestly don’t know why an always on device like an Echo Spot doesn’t have this functionality built-in. It’s very rarely that I need to use the camera on the Spot, and these covers make me feel comfortable and in better control.
