Great kitchen utensil. Cast iron to match all my cooking gear. I use it to add roasted flax seeds to one meal a day and this is small enough to set on my counter and does not take up space like my electric grinder.

Awsome! got a lesser review because the bigger version does not have the measure lid. Grinds finer than I thought it would. Do not let it sit in water or stay wet for too long. Season like a cast iron skillet (obviously, do not season with wood lid).

I really like this for grinding up a variety of spices and salts. Easy to use. Easy to clean.

Perfect with some things to note about cast iron.
The media could not be loaded. Very decent!! Works awesome for a small batch of Chai! You will need to put a bit of elbow grease into it and make sure not to overload it. It does work well and I enjoy it for what it does.It's cast iron...DO NOT WASH IT! NOT NEEDED! Quickly rinse with mild soap if it's truly necessary but dry it off immediately. Otherwise get a stiff brush and just dust it out and it will probably outlast you. Do not let it air dry.I can't stress enough how people fail to follow the basics with cast iron.

I love grinding up my spices like cardamom seeds, fenugreek seeds, and peppercorns, as I need them. I used to use a mortar and pestle, but that became more difficult with age. This little spice grinder works so much better than the old method, which I still use for herbs, just not hard seeds. It's easy to clean and small enough to keep with my herbs in the cabinet. Since it doesn't need plugged in, it requires no counter space, which is a huge bonus for me. I highly recommend this for the average herbalist or anyone who likes to grind their own herbs to use for cooking.

Works great doesn’t ware down
Works really well a little heavier then expected but I forgot it was like cast iron but that means it’s really good quality, easy to clean with a brush, crushes super easily, sometimes I forget and then it into powder, it’s worth the money no matter what you’re doing with it wether it’s for spices or grinding.
