Exactly what I was looking for
These locking backs were just what I needed, my pins kept slipping off my backpack. I did have to look up how to take them off though, since this does not come with instructions. You have to hold the base, pull the round butt straight back, then pull it off the back of the pin. Once I knew how to do it, it was super easy!

works great
I always wanted to be able to have a lot of pins on my bag but being as enamel pens can be so expensive upward to 10 plus dollars a piece I knew I wanted something to keep them on my bag cuz in the past I've had them fall off so I got these and they were really good and so far none of them have fallen when I have used these

Secure hold for pins, but easy enough to remove
I have some pin backs that have an allen wrench adjustment in them, and they're great - very, very secure- but if I wanted to take one off for some reason I'd have to wait til I was home where the allen wrench lives. These are almost as secure, but can be removed while out and about. Thay're a little bulkier as the mechanism for locking and unlocking takes up more room than the inner workings of a standard pin back or my allen wrench backs, but not problematically so unless you're mounting several to a very small area. Removing them may require a little assistance to pull the parts of the mechanism apart, but that assistance can be as simple as shoving the edge of a credit card or ID in there, so I'm not inclined to downgrade my rating over that.

Nice!
I wear pins on my badge, to display my years of service in health care, But I am constantly knocking them off when I catch my badge on something around me. I needed a solution, and these locking pin backs were exactly what I needed! This is such a simple concept it makes me wish I had come up with it, but these are absolutely fantastic, and I haven't been in danger of losing one of my favorite pins in a very long time now. Of course, you get way more than the average person might need, but I began distributing them to friends and coworkers and everybody has raved about them. I absolutely have worked for me, and I definitely recommend checking them out if you are in a similar boat.

Doesn’t always lock
I’ve had two pins fall off in the week that I used these so just be careful. It is better than just the rubber backs. But really make sure your pins are secure.
