So far have only used it to tow an empty 3 axel trailer about 120 miles, but the trailer itself is quite heavy. The trailer has a 3 inch lunette and it dropped right in to the hook with no grinding or adjustments needed. As other reviewers have noted it's a very heavy, beefy hitch which is just what you want if you're towing a heavy trailer over distance at highway speeds. Honestly, it's what you probably want anyway - better to have a stronger hitch than you need that the opposite and most trailers that use this kind of hitch are designed for heavy loads anyway. This is a great hitch. If I needed another I would buy this exact one again and would recommend anyone else do the same.I'll update the review after I've used it to tow a tractor around a couple of times.---I forgot to update this review but after a few years and a good bit of use it's lost a little paint but otherwise it's as good as new. I cannot imagine this hitch ever being a point of failure. The only problem I've had with it is that the buddy I lent it to doesn't seem to be in a hurry to return it.

Really solid hitch. Well made, not to many casting marks. Seems like good powder coat, but time will tell. I like that the safety bhook came on a cable instead of a small chain. Fit snug into my reciever. I chose the CURT brand bc I have a CURT a16 5th wheel as well.

This hitch is heavy duty and well made. It is priced very well and functions flawlessly. Recommended seller!

Exactly what I needed and worked smoothly. Only reason not a five star is because I had to grind a little off the part of the receiver that goes into hitch (1/8") in order to get it all the way inside. The face (front/inside) was hitting the inside pin that holds the larger size receiver (this is a class V hitch) so the hole for the pin for the Pintle receiver was not lining up. After a little grinding, I was home free.

I bought this so I could tow a military trailer with a diesel generator on it. The hitch seems simple enough to operate and appears to be of good quality steel.

I purchased three of these recently to equip trucks for towing generators I had acquired. We used two of them to tow one generator each and the third to pull a 20 foot flatbed car hauler carrying two more. Each generator is mounted on a 3/4 ton trailer and have a total weight of approximately 2800 pounds. The only problem we had was the eye of the trailer was a bit too wide to just slip onto the receiver. In order to couple them we needed to hook the eye and receiver together first and then attach the hitch to the trucks receiver. I found touching up the inside of the pintle hook with a grinder relieved it enough to allow for the trailer to drop into place. See the place needing some work in the photos I have uploaded , I highlighted the area in yellow in one picture.This is a well built receiver and latches solidly in place so I had no worries towing ,even with the fully loaded trailer weighing over 6000 lbs. also it is forged steel not cast.I would recommend this to anyone needing a pintle hook / receiver.Thanks !Don F
