An easy to use daily vacuum that keeps up with the chaos of life
Got this vacuum over 6 months ago and its been working great. We had a Dyson V8 that we used frequently for about 8 years before the battery started to fade. We decided to upgrade when we seen this on sale and it has been well worth it. Between 3 kids and a dog that sheds this thing gets daily use it and it had not let us down. Its light weight enough that my wife can go up and down the stairs with it with ease. It has a lot of space to collect dust dirt and pet hair. the suction power is very strong. it has a nice HUD to show the battery level and other info. There's many attachments that can be used with these vacuums and the attachments i had with my old Dyson work with this one as well. There's a reason everyone thinks Dyson when talking about vacuums and that's because they work and they work well.

Dyson does not disappoint!
I have had the Dyson Animal for years. Unfortunately, I dropped it and a piece broke up, which kept the main portion closed. After using duct tape, and admitting it just wasn't working as well as it used to, I decided to invest in a new one. The Dyson v11 is more powerful and I like that it has 3 power levels to choose from. I also like that I can hang it on the wall in my laundry room. It has the same great flexibility to get under and around furniture Dyson is known for. I love it!

Where's all this dirt coming from?
My new Dyson V11 sucks up a canister of dirt and debris everytime I use it. My old strategy of purchasing a cheap stick vac ever year of so had proven tiresome (poor battery life, expensive replacement batteries). So when that last vac's motor ground to a halt I replaced it with the Dyson. Now I realize I must have been rearranging the dirt every time I used that previous vacuum cleaner and what it was trapping in the cup was mostly accidental surface crap.I'm hoping the Dyson proves a better longer-range investment. But in the meantime the house is much cleaner. The enhanced sucking power must be pulling dirt from between the floorboards and cleaning deeper into the carpets.I also like the V11's display. it tells me percentage charged and time remaining before another charge is required.

Best vacuum cleaner I ever used
I got this during Prime Day last year and I've had plenty of time with it and I can say hands down this is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had even though it's a stick vacuum in my opinion it outperforms every other vacuum I've ever had including a Kirby which is saying a lot

So how does it count to a billion?
Dyson has always sucked, which is a good thing for a vacuum, you want it to. :)This is a very smart device and has a lot of uses, definitely more than I know what to do with. The detachable vacuum converting it to a hand vac is really nice. I will say though that how it counts particles I have no idea, but you will see them, if you are a child of the 80s and are addicted to the "high score" mentality. This vacuum really packs a punch, it works great on hardwood as well as carpet and I don't even need to transition it. It has a ton of attachments for about anything and it's not heavy or hard to move around except when it is deeply cleaning something. It's a manageable size too.So, a lot of great things to say, but there are some glaring bad ones. Really, I didn't have the heart to give this 3 stars because of how well it otherwise works. The bad: The attachments they give, some just don't seem to work like on their videos, for example the car. But that leads me to the videos, which really are the worst part of this vacuum. For a cleaning idiot like me, the videos are short and really explain nothing. They are made for people who already know and just give images for the most part what to do. They should explain things, and their app is trash for this. They should offer this on a much bigger screen with more detail.Overall, a worth it vacuum, the battery also does our whole house well and could probably do 3 whole cycles in our home on one charge.

Best there is
I tried 3 lower priced vacuums o amazon and returned all of them. Nothing compares to a Dyson! We have 2 Huskies and this picks up the hair on carpets and floors soooo much better than anything else. I highly recommend this if you need a Real vacuum cleaner!

Not for area or throw rugs
One advertising for Dyson V 11 they should really not all the 11s are the same. There are different models but still the 11s I got the V 11 origin and it didn’t have that money attachments huge disappointment but I still love it

Comparison of new v11 to my old v10 Animal
I have a v10 Animal already, so I was able to do a side-by-side comparison of the two. The v11 does seem to have a bit more power, and suction was amazing. So good, in fact, that it sucked up my washable rugs enough to stop the rotator. This is a problem, because even set at the weakest suction, it was still pulling too hard on the thinner rugs. The unit is also quite a bit heavier than the v10, so this may be an issue if you have weakness or arthritis, which I do. I found that my arm got fatigued much faster with the v11. This is most likely due to the computer chip and fancy digital readout on the new unit. There was nothing wrong with the manual buttons on the older unit, but I guess everyone needs smart everything these days. In the future, I will probably opt for a factory-refurbished v10 to save on arm fatigue. My plan was to put the older v10 in my motor home, and keep the new v11 in the house, but I think now after using them, I will switch that. The older one handles the rugs in the house better, and the new one will be better at sand tracked into the motorhome at the beach. All in all, an excellent unit, but I do wish it was a bit lighter, and a bit better on the thinner rugs. And of course, they take two different filters. Ah well.... "progress."
