Does the job for meeting FAA requirements
This RID module is easy to install, register and operate. My concern was meeting FAA requirements and it seems to do exactly that.

Great unit
I bought a remote ID first from Zing because they were manufactured in the US. The first one I received didn't work so they sent me a second one which didn't work either. At first, they were attentive but after the second one they didn't respond to my emails any longer. Next, I bought a Ipotensic remote ID. It was easy to install and worked perfect, then it started broadcasting that I was in China. Contacted their support and downloaded updated firmware and it again worked perfectly. The support team was responsive and quickly responded to my emails. Thanks.A few months later the unit's battery would not hold a charge for more than 2 hours. I contacted support and after taking a few pictures to show how long the battery would last, their support team sent me a new unit. It arrived in a timely fashion and they even contacted me again just to make sure the new one worked properly and it did.

Great Drone RID for the price with convenience of self-powered
Though not as quick to get GPS lockin as some other better known brands, the Potensic was easily setup using a Chromebook. A quirk: once setup with a drone previously registered to FAADroneZone the old Mavic Pro now reports as a Potensic Atom 2 drone. It took 4-5 min to lockin in our tree lined neighborhood. But I setup the RID device on the dash connected to a charging cable enroute to an event. By the time we got there the RID was locked in and easy to go. The included 3M hermaphroditic Velcro is an excellent choice and readily available as Mavic Pro series drones require you to attach the RID to the battery for good balance. Great value for an RID.

It works
The FAA says I must be compliant with my rc aircraft. So I got this. Very simple to set up. Follow instructions and be patient for GPS sat hookup. I use drone scanner phone app. All the telemetry I need. Who knows how long it will last Good luck and fly safe

Good if you have a drone registered.
Great device. My Chinese chips are now banned by our gov so I had to end my drone build. Very sad. This was a really good product BTW.

If you're going to use your drone commercially and don't have an ID then you need it.
If your drone does not have an RID built in and you're going to use your drone for commercial use. Then you will need to get one. Or if you are planning on getting your part 107 certificate then you will need to get one also to do anything commercial. Very easy to put on very easy to set up. And if you just want to use your drone for recreational use then you just remove it until you need it. And like always it comes with everything you need.
