DuneCraft Dome Terrariums Hydro-Dome

I work at a summer camp and one of our themes is about gardening. The students know how vegetables grow in soil, but none were familiar with hydroponics. I purchased two, and currently have one growing lettuce. The students help me with the air flow system. The directions are easy to follow and everything you need to start growing hydroponic lettuce is included.

The net pots don;t exactly have a good fit to the blue framed holder. In other words, they fall through the holder so we had to improvise by adding masking tape fingers on three sides of each hole to hold the net pots securely during the experiment. Yikes!

I have this one star because there were no options more negative. I purchased this for my middle school aged child as a science project. The kit looked attractive upon receipt and included items that seemed to be of quality. Our expectations were high for success. The lettuce sprouts came up fairly quickly, initially. However, they have stopped growing at about 2" height and appear to be dying now. We have followed all instructions and can't seem to get them to grow further. Very unhappy with this product and would not purchase again.

The kit itself was good but the seeds that came with it must have been old or no good because they would not sprout! We only got one plant from it and had to start my sons project all over! What a disappointment.

Used for a science fair project.

This kit works great. My son used it for his science project. It comes with nutrients and everything you need to start growing hydroponically. There aren't many lettuce seeds in the packet provided. I would purchase a packet of lettuce seeds separately.

i should have just went straignt for the aerogarden rather than ordering this. its cheap and can only do so much. i wanted to use it to grow spinach and strawberries- that didnt exactly work. love the aerogarden though!

My child has been patiently waiting and diligently taking care of this for 6 months now. All he has is a few sprouts. I don't think we're getting anything from it at all.
