BLACK+DECKER 16" Oscillating Wall Fan with Remote Control, BFWL16R, White

UPDATE: Months later, this fan is still going strong. I mounted it in a new spot, and the grinding noise I mentioned disappeared. It must have been a superficial issue. I've had it oscillating on its new wall for some time. I mounted it under a TV so it'd hit everyone as they watched it. It's very good in this scenario - it's quiet and moves a lot of air. Placement matters a lot for this one! A good placement can make all the difference. It's a great fan for saving floor & table space! A sturdy hanger lets it be easily mounted on the wall. It moves a lot of air and projects that air a good distance too. The fan itself is fairly quiet for the amount of air it moves. The oscillation is kinda noisy - sounds like something's faulty - so I try not to use it. But, it does cover about 90-100 degrees to my perception. I used it to cool 2 people sitting at opposite ends of a long table, and had to mount the fan quite far up & back to make that happen. The remote doesn't include batteries. It works well enough and a few functions need the remote to access. Overall, I think it's quite good and I'm likely to get a second one this year for another room.

I bought this fan to put in a room at work, and am thoroughly pleased with it. The fan blows decently strong for its size. The remote that is included is a convenience, especially being mounted higher up on a wall which is where I installed it. The oscillation mode works as should with no issues. The noise is not very loud, which was a small worry when I purchasing, as I was putting it in an office sized room approximately. Easy to assemble, simple instructions. Overall, great fan for the size and price. Have had the fan for a couple of months, with no issues so far!

We use this in the bedroom of our camper. We don't use a TV so we hung it in the same place. It has a remote and works great. Fortunate for us the a/c vent points right at the fan so it blow cool air.

Bows strong and I like the settings. Control doesn’t come with batteries to get ready to spend at least another 5-10 dollars if you don’t already have them. Installation is super easy and it’s worth the 40 bucks. It’s not super loud

Absolutely love these fans. Everything that is advertised is spot on! Great speeds and speed choice as well as oscillating choices. The remote sells the whole thing for me. Be warned about the remote battery. Alexa states two AA batteries. This is false. It takes one CR2025 round disk battery and does not come with battery. Battery goes in easily removing one screw. Bought two and now will buy four more if available!

I really like this fan. Prior to this my kids would constantly play with the fan I had but now they can’t reach it lol. And having a remote is really nice. Update: I would say about 5 months in this fan has started to “tweak” a bit. It will randomly just turn on by itself. For example my kids will be laying in bed reading or watching tv, nowhere near the fan or remote and it just comes on. I will also say even though I rarely ever use the buttons on the actual fan itself since I mostly use the remote (99%) of the time, the buttons are already starting to peel/fade.

Great fan if you don’t want a floor standing one, comes with remote and has powerful performance
