D'Addario Prelude Violin Strings, J810 4/4M, Medium Tension, 4/4 Scale, 4-String Full Set

After experimenting with a few different string sets (Dominant, Helicore, Zyex, and Prim), I decided I like the steel core Prims best. When I went to buy Prims again (after a 15 year break from playing fiddle) I saw they were no longer the affordable strings they used to be, so when I looked for a similar alternative, I came across the Preludes. Not only are they really inexpensive, but they sound great, and last. I’ll probably only use these from here out

I thought these had a good sound. The new brand I tried is louder but these gave a rich sound on my violin. Plus the price for these is nearly half.

These are great value strings which will automatically make your imported violin sound better. I bought a violin from China that was handmade. It is gorgeous, but the stock strings are terrible. I replaced them with these Prelude strings and the sound upgraded immediately. They also help hold the instrument in tune better than cheap, factory strings. They also tune up more easily than cheap strings and won't break as easily.

Rebuilt multiple violins from Goodwill to donate to Philippine Children's Charity who helps impoverished musicians in the Philippines. These strings made the old violins sound rich and new. They stay in tune and resonate very nicely. Very happy with them.

It's a string.

overall great strings but Pirastro Tonica performed better on our violin. not to take away from these great strings simply to clarify some violins sound better with a particular type versus another.
