This bread has absolutely no flavor. Now that may be in part because it is so thinly sliced. I have made three grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and there is no rye bread flavor.

a thin, dense & dark bread that's good for your gut and your teeth. no complaints. seemed fresh.

The flavor is good but they are a bit on the dry side.

I have been a very long time fan of this type of dense rye that has not always been easy to find other than a cocktail sized loaves in the deli section. This is a good base for open faced sandwiches. Slices won't become soggy with mayonnaise or butter. My favorite Summer sandwiches of cucumber, tomato, hard boiled eggs, and or cheese start with this sturdy base. And! So far! No pieces of stone from stone grinding the Rye.

The bread is very dry and tears easily and it lacks flavor for me.its not the size of sliced bread.its rectangle.but it's just one opinion,(mine) others may enjoy it.try fir yourself.
