I had to go back and find this to write the review. Had these a year but forgot about them. Just wore them on vacation in Niagara Falls where we walked a lot. It averaged 10 degrees with 20 mph winds and 40 mph wind gusts. I wore them over socks with walking boots AND MY FEET WERE WARM. I have poor circulation in my toes and fingers and I'm always cold. I have tried battery operated stuff and a host of other things, but these worked!Initially, I thought they were too big, but, over socks, they are about right.

I am a first responder and wore these everyday for six days during the snow storm. I walked, drove, climbed, and lifted. Not once did they shift or fall. Even when my wool outer socks were wet with sweat, I didn't know it because these took all the wetness away from my skin. I am really happy I had them. They streched out a little between washings but they went back to perfect afterward. No complaints; I highly reccomend.

Once the socks are worn and washed they no longer fit the heal is now on the back of my ankle. The first order was for x large and were way to big so I ordered large and they were exactly the same size as xlarge

Probably among the best socks out there in this category. I wear them indoors (can no longer go outside due to health condition) all day long for up to a week, then rotate for another pair of the same. The beauty of these type of socks is your feet stay warm but do not sweat like they would with regular socks. Minor deterioration upon washing. These socks won't last forever, but hopefully for at least two full years of Upstate New York indoor wear.

Easy stretch to pull on over a bandage, and smooth enough for a regular sock to slip on as well.
