These socks are softer inside than some others I have seen. The double tread means you can quickly put them on without having to check that the tread is facing the bottom.

Because I can not wear shoes and I have to walk around the house with a walker, I needed something that would keep me from slipping. They are great if you have slippery tile like I do. They are very comfortable also.

These do not come up much above the ankle. They are not tight on my ankles. They are good for the price.
