I am so pleased that this product is available as it has revolutionised my family's water drinking!
Because of a medical condition I now need to drink a huge amount of water each day. As a result I became conscious that any drinking water at home and in plastic bottles should be as pure as possible. The 14 in 1 Drinking Water Test Kit is an easy to use, fast and perfect way to ensure that all drinking water does not contain up to 14 contaminants. It has left me feeling confident that the water I now drink in copious amounts is free from a number of undesirable elements which could spread acute and chronic diseases. I have introduced the strips to my family members at home so 150 test strips will not last long in my family as they feel that every hour they need to test our drinking water from the taps! I will be ordering the next pack very soon!

I spent £16 on this!?
Firstly, 14 in 1 strip. Sounds amazing right? The 5 nearest the "handle" of the strip tell you the same thing in a different way: ph. Having 5 for this is a big distraction. Then we have flouride. Exciting. the trouble is it doesn't detect 1mg/litre levels which are the levels you would have in drinking water. The pink square should get lighter but it failed to do so on a volvic sample (volvic contains flouride, confirmed online and by my allergic reaction to it).Bromine. How often is this in water? almost never. But it's in non European food so why not include it in the test strip? Duh. Then we have nitrates. This is almost useful except that bottled water tells you how much nitrate it contains. I suppose in other situations it could be useful. Free chlorine at the end. Uh. I can smell steralising chemicals when i turn on the tap and again the colour change is nothing. There are are couple others which I haven't heard of, and neither have you, let's be honest.I spent £16 on this test strip so you don't have to. If you have any friends who you want to impress with multi colored test strips, be my guest and buy this. Have fun. For the curiosity factor it's worth it perhaps. Also you can buy a TDS meter and take 1,000s tests for £2-£6, and buy some litmus strips, £1-£3 to check ph. Most other things you can use your nose for. For flouride you'll need to spend £75 on a more reliable method. If you're in the UK, flouridealert website or your local water company will tell you if you're in a flouridated area. Most cities are not, except Newcastle and parts of the West Midlands. Ps. Flouride is known to steralise fish so they don't reproduce. It's no wonder governments accepted bribes to put this waste chemical in human water in places with high birth rates. And of course, they use tax money to pay for it.Take good care of your liver and avoid medications (including anti biotics and anti virals), and avoid alcohol and your body will handle poisons better. If you travel to America (north or South America), take lugols iodine drops daily since your body handles the poison flouride and the nutrient (iodine) the same.

Great product
Good buy, works a treat.I’m always descaling my kettle and washing machine so I suspected hard water was the cause, I bought this kit to test and sure enough my water is “very hard” which also explains why I get very dry skin after showers. Thankfully nothing worrying was detected and pH levels show as Alkaline which I think is good? The kit is good quality and is very easy to use, does exactly what it says so a good buy.

Good Price - Very Hard to Read!
Ok, let's start with something simple and a positive, it is a very good price for a large number of test strips, i have used test strips before which are much more expensive or have very few in the packet. They are easy to use but now the problem. Like all of these style of strips they are bloomin hard to read properly, is that the slightly pinky red colour or the darker red pink colour?? This is then compounded by the fact there are so many different substances being read simultaneously it makes reading very hard. Then add the fact that the reading pads are not QUITE in line with the colour examples printed on the tub, close but not right! So you have to shift it around and keep checking, am I now looking at Nitrite or Nitrate??Let's then consider the fact that technically you should be reading some of the marginally colour changing tabs after 15 seconds, some after 30 seconds, some after 60 seconds! So you would put all those 15 second ones together, 30 second ones next to each other, etc? Right? ..... Obvious! .... only you don't, you put them spread around at different places on the strip!I gave it three stars because it is cheap for a lot of strips and you do get a lot of readings, my eyes and brain mean it is only useful for me to see an ACTUAL reading spelt out for me - such as TDS machines which there are a lot of and are very useful.

It is just impossible to read the markings
It is probably inherent issue with these chemically activated strips, but the colour gradient and change is so subtle that there is no way one can tell the difference what they indicating. Colour goes like from light brown to slightly less brown, or from light blue to light green. I guess if you have massive difference between samples, where it goes literally from very lowest possible rate on scale to the very highest... you might be able to tell the difference, but for anything in between it is literally just best guess. I tested like 30 different water samples, 3 times each and all the strips looked exactly the same. Then there is actual procedure, you need to dip them quickly and pull out and compare what you get, again there are so little variance between resulting colour it was impossible to spot the difference. Once the strip dries the colour becomes patchy and make is even harder to guess anything.Perhaps in chemical lab where one needs to tests strong alkaline vs strong acid solutions, or other type of distinctive artificially mixed liquid these makes sense, but for domestic water testing which has very mild variation - totally useless.
