Thermalright AM5 CPU Contact Frame V2 for Secure Frame Kit Anti-Bending Buckle Black

I purchased this because I was afraid of getting thermal paste inside since the AM5 have holes on the edges, but after installing it, I realized that it also holds the CPU in place, replacing the lever clamps that come with the MB. I think it is cool, you take off the levers and just hold the cPU with this metal holder and 4 screws. Looks clean and more robust than that original clamps. If you change your CPU frequently, do not bother with this, but if you are like most of us, in and stays in until it burns, then a great addition for $10 bucks, specially for future replacing termal paste and overall cleanness of the CPU.

Comes with everything you need from installation tools to clear and concise instructions for installation. Initial thoughts are quality/sturdy metal contruction and allows easy thermal paste cleanup for my 9950X3D whenever I eventually need to repaste it. Did not notice any remarkable CPU temps (idle at 42F with a 360mm AIO). Would recommend.

Although you don’t need one for AMD it’s really nice to have as the build quality is very sturdy and great. Having one of these makes the installation of your CPU less messy when applying thermal paste and the installation of the frame itself is very easy. Once installed it looks really good and fits my CPU perfectly. The price is very good for the quality of what you’re getting and the functionality for what you pay for is perfect.

I know there is not reason for this performance wise, and I most definitely got more for a paste guard and aesthetics. I do love how it looks, although of course you can not see with cooler installed. The paste application was extremely easy with this frame and made spreading the paste a lot easier. All in all, worth the $10 for me.I did try to get the silicone past guard, but the shipping was over a week at the time, which is why I got this. I still think I would prefer the silicone past guard that you can get, as it is a tighter seal. I can see how paste could drip between the seam on this one, but most reviews say it does not, and I honestly do not care about that.

Fits great. Cheap. Really makes for clean install.

First time amd user. With the weird shape of the 7800x3d, this contact frame allowed me to spread thermal paste without making a mess. Very clean setup and looks great.

Build quality is superb! Noticed temps drop with the bracket it self plus a better mounting system then stock. These should be the new standard.
