Non-Programmable Thermostat for Home Conventional Single-Stage System, up to 1 Heat/ 1 Cool (with White Backlight)

I bought this, along with wire, to get rid of a wireless programable thermostat that was being problematic. Once I ran the new wiring, this thermostat was easy to install. The display is large and easy to see with the bright backlight. Temperature adjustment is easy to set and the controls are easy to operate. It operates my HVAC as it should and even looks decent. My only caution would be to make sure you set the switch on the back, gas or electric, to the appropriate position for your system.

This is very easy to install. It works like a charm. I love the fact that it uses AAA batteries. It looks very nice and is smaller than the one it replaced. Very affordable and was recommended by ChatGPT.

Perfect thermostat. Great price and easy to use. I had the older gen nest and it would randomly adjust the temperature. Went with this basic thermostat and couldn’t have been happier. Followed the diagram and it was a direct swap.

Control works perfectly. Installation was a little bit of a challange, as the included instructions do not tell you how to wire for an older 2 wire wall furnace, I had to search online till I figured it out. I like that I can program a temp, and that it works on a battery rather than house power, so if the power goes out, I still have control of my heat. For the price, this is fantastic, and it's easy to use, with a bright, clear display.

I was looking for a simple non-programmable thermostat to replace the programmable one we had that was malfunctioning. I first purchased a Honeywell brand non programmable one that looked a little sleeker than this one. However, it only had what seemed like a half degree differential and it was causing my furnace to short cycle (6-8 minutes). I ordered this thermostat in hopes that it would work as intended. It works exactly how it should and no more short cycling! This thermostat was easy to install by reading the manual. It looks great and the large display with green backlight is easy to read. I compared the temperature to an indoor thermometer and it was spot on. I appreciate the simplicity of the thermostat and I’m glad that I don’t have to fight with complicated programming. The wiring to my furnace only contains 3 wires and is unable to support modern smart thermostats. So if you need a simple thermostat or are replacing an older thermostat, this is an excellent option. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t come with a wall/back plate. But they do have one available to purchase separately and I will be ordering that next.

All features work great; adjustable temperature swing for cooling and separate for heating, and room temperature calibration. Thermostat is much more accurate, easy to use compared to my old round style not digital this one replaced. Highly recommend.

I replaced a 20 yr old central AC thermostat with the Heagstat Non-Programmable Thermostat. I have a 3 wires connected to the thermostat. Easy install and only used for AC. Very pleased with the Heagstat's large readable display. Used 2 AAA batteries for power. Highly recommend this thermostat and thanks to Amazon for the quick one day delivery!

Upon instalation we loved the easy to read screen and ease of use. Unfortunately, when I set it to heat, it didn't connect with the furnace. It indicated furnace on but the furnace wasn't getting the message. It works fine for the central air but not the heat. There is a jumper wire connecting the heat and the cooling functions so the problem may be in that area. I also tried functioning with the toggle switch on gas and on electric. No go. There was no contact information to connect with the manufacturer so I had to send it back.

I became so fed with my “smart thermostat” making me dumb I finally ditched/pulled it and rolled it down the driveway into traffic. Spending hours over years trying to have it give me the temperature my family wanted I turned to the giant to provide me a cheap and simple solution. This so far it has done the trick. It was easy to hook up after removing “smarty pants” and being careful to label the wires. Time will tell on reliability, but for the price point and performance so far I am grateful! Rob

I ordered this same Thermostat , Luckly my Outdoors RV (Timber ridge 25RDS) has all the wiring properly coloured . Red is 12V+ , White is the trigger wire for the Furnace, Yellow is trigger for the A/C, Green is the high speed fan, Grey is low speed fan (Not used by me), Blue is 12V- (not used ) as the thermostat uses the 2 AAA batteries to display the Digital screen and trigger the relays to thefurnace and A/C. The Thermostat has a jumper wire between RC and RH and they need to stay jumped together adding in the Red 12V+ . The Blue and Grey wires can be capped and tucked into the wall as they are o longer needed. You can set it to Celsius or Fahrenheit by holding down both up and down arrows, this will toggle between C' &F' , another press on the down arrow will give you the temperature swing setting and last option press down again is the A/C delay can be turned on or off. So far this is a great Mod very happy with this , the original holes for the Coleman Mach T-Stat is the exact same so i didnt even have to drill any new holes to install the new one. If one does want to have the lower speed fan operational they will need to ad a switch . Check out "love your RV" he has a great video on how to do this.Hope this helps anyone trying to do this mod. This is a cheaper Thermostat the a Honeywell but does the exactly this same thing.

As a senior citizen I'm not a fan of complicated electronic devices. I'm want something simple to operate. I don't mind adjusting the temperature in my home periodically. Also, it was quality product at a reasonable cost.

Love it, I replaced an old thermometer with this model that fits in size , easy and simple installation beautiful large display and works perfectly as it should.
