Sounds great!
Sounds great! I plugged it into my laptop and the hum was terrible, until I unplugged the laptop's power supply and ran off battery. Not the mic's fault! I plugged it into my Nikon DSLR and it works great, but in one channel only. This is OK, because I can fix it in Premiere. But I made a cable that connects the mic to both channels of the DSLR, and it works great. (Wire the "tip" connection of the mic to both the ring and the tip for the camera.) I also made a little power supply with a 9V battery, a resistor and a capacitor. I can plug into the balanced input of my mixer with this circuit and the quality is great. The electronic noise generated by the mic is not an issue. Note that you must use shielded extension cables, or the hum will be terrible. Not all extension cables are shielded, including some Radio Shack ones I have. Unshielded cables work OK for headphones, but not microphones. The construction is kind of cheap, especially how it just dangles by the cord, but who cares at this price?

Really good, but!
I watched a review on youtube that highly recommend these over other options such as giant squid lavs. I have to say these work really really well for the price! they sound great when listen threw headphones. I would say if you are on a budget these are an awesome choice BUT! In the review I saw they forgot to mention that this has a 3.5mm MONO jack not Stereo. this means that the lav is gonna record both the right and left channel into one channel and out put it in one channel most likely being the left speaker. This means you need a mono to stereo jack adapter or go into your choice of editing program and fake stereo sound but copying the channel that has sound into the empty channel. Its not necessarily a deal breaker but would have been nice to know instead of freaking out for an hour thinking that these lav mics were broken.

great Lav Mic!
This thing is amazing!! I used it with a Zoom H5n, but the problem I came across is that this is a non-powered mic that requires a powered slot. The XLR-1 input has phantom power, but the TRS port is not phantom powered. So I had to get an XLR Male to TRS female, and a TRS Male to 3.5mm female so that I could plug this in. It was a quick fix on set and worked really well Going forward I'll be using a phantom powered 3.5mm transmitter. For Performance: This little sucker has superb sound quality. Minimal ambient noise if any at all. The way I picked this one was going over the reviews for inexpensive LAV Mics on youtube and this is the top performer. At this price I'll be picking up a few more just to have on hand! I highly recommend you grab this mic.

Didn't Last Over 12 Uses
I've contacted JK and they are replacing it for free. So this time I hope I have a longer time with the mic that I like which the sound and quality is really good for its price. -- Update -- I bought this microphone a year ago and only used it once a month. After getting through the 12th time, it doesn't work anymore. Does't even register any kind of sound on my Zoom H6. So dissappointed, cheaper Boya Mic that I use more frequently is doing fine compared to this... I was happy with using it, although it is a mono mic, post production the sound came out very decent compared to its other competitors aroud the same price range.

Great at first, died after 5 months of use.
Bought two of these and at first I was very impressed because the sound quality was great and it's a lot cheaper than the official Sennheiser lav. However, after roughly 5 months of use one of the mics just died and no longer works. Luckily I had another backup or would have had some huge problems.

For the money, this thing is amazing.
I normally record audio with a Blue Yeti microphone that I purchased through Amazon for just shy of $120 in 2015. I love the audio sound I get through the Blue Yeti but I needed a lavalier / lapel microphone to conduct interviews and for YouTube videos. I researched options extensively and I finally settled on the JK Mic-J 044 with the A2 (mono) connector. I do all my recording through a HP ProBook 4540s laptop - not through a smartphone or tablet. This microphone will not work with smartphones or tablets without an adapter. This is for PCs or audio recorders such as the Zoom H1. The sound quality of this mic cannot be beat for the price (<$30). For less than 25% of the cost of my Blue Yeti I can get decent sound for my purposes right out of the gate -- and with a little post processing I can get sound comparable to my Blue Yeti. For the money, this thing is amazing.

HOLY CRAP! EXCELLENT!!!
This thing is amazing. Not only is the quality crystal clear, I used it with a cheap $10 Pyle Pro wireless microphone system and it actually cleaned up the static in the wireless system. Also it's TINY, super small which is a plus for hiding it in a hem of a shirt so as not to be so obvious. Came with a windscreen but works perfect without it, no wind noise at all. This little guy is a steal and I'm going to buy a few more before they realize what they are basically giving away and hike up the price. FANTASTIC all around.

Background Noise Sounds Like a Ham Radio
I thought I did a good job researching before I purchased. I watched video reviews on youtube and I narrowed my choices down to this JK MIC-J044 lavalier mic. I was very unhappy when I plugged it into my laptop and tried it out. Sitting in a completely silent room and sitting perfectly still this microphone generates a large amount of static. It records my voice alright but the background noise that it generates sounds like a person trying to tune in a ham radio. It's static plus multiple high pitches and squeals. I ran my audio file through audacity and removed the noise profile from the file. That really helped but it then made my voice sound like I was talking into a tin can. I wanted a mic that I wouldn't necessarily have to drastically manipulate in post production. I'm returning this product. I'll be spending the $115 on the Blue Yeti like I should have to begin with.
