and pretty much everything out there
I looked into Navdy, Carloudy, and pretty much everything out there. My conclusion was, I should wait another year or so, for something that's really sophisticated, to come on to the market. In the meantime, I gave a try on this one. Nothing fancy, but just having your speed floating on your windshield does make you a more careful driver. Forget the navigation and voice control, motion control all that, just having your speed appear on the windshield is a whole new experience of everyday driving. It's a double image, so you will need that non reflective film, otherwise it can give you headache. Really simple to install. Speed adjustment setting is set at 108. Better change that setting to 102 otherwise HUD speed indicates about 3-5 mph higher than your actual speedometer. Setting is not that difficult as some reviewers say, at least to me. My car 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, and it took 5 minutes to install. I ordered another one for my wife's car today.

Works well, most of the time.
Its a bit buggy, sometimes it freezes or just wont power on. Unplugging it ant plugging back in fixes it though. Once the correction factor is set (mine is 60 for miles per hour) it is relatively accurate across the whole speedometer range. The only real complain was the random warning beeps, the beep would happen at intermittent speeds; some times 60, then 55, then 22, then 33, etc, without any flashing lights or other indicators. I finally just unsoldered the tine speaker.Update: After 2 months the thing has to be unplugged every use just to get it to function.

Almost a good product.
Where to start with this thing...Pros: clean display, mine is set to show speed only, which is precisely what I wanted.Sharp image without reflective filmFairly simple to calibrateCompact and easy to installFlat cable made install much cleanerCONS: the control system is HORRIFIC and makes the simplest task take far longer than it needs too.The control knob (lever?) on mine gets stuck in the down position if I don’t adjust it just right. It DOES NOT turn off automatically on my car.The instructions are a joke and in some of the worst broken English I have ever read. I was eventually able to get it working once I figured out what the instructions were trying to convey. To be honest, I did not buy this because it was cheap. I bought it because it was one of the only ones that had a clean display with speed only and projected onto the windshield as opposed to having to stick some unsightly box on my dash. With that being said, the quality is OK, But judging from the reviews, can vary wildly. Mine seems a bit worse than what I would expect from a Chinese company that is selling this sort of thing for the lowest possible price. I felt like I might break the cord just plugging it in. And the control knob gets stuck and takes some serious getting used to before you stop hitting it in random directions as you try to move it up and down and press it straight in to select an option.Seems they can be hit or miss. Overall, I actually like it once I got past the point of having to touch the controls. I won’t be returning it. But having to unplug it every time i stop the car is infuriating and it may find it’s way into the trash if it annoys me enough in the coming weeks.

Cheap but definitely good enough!
This is a cheap china knockoff (the Chinese only directions gave that away) but that shouldn’t necessarily scare you away. It’s a little annoying to set up. I had to guess at what buttons to press so it took a few try’s. It works now though, and is very convenient! The light is a little dim if you wear polarized sunglasses while driving (physics at work!). But that would be my biggest complaint. It’s worth noting that most cars won’t need the film or whatever. But that said, just because the put the word “nano” in the description doesn’t mean the engineers are somehow magic. It will have a double reflection pretty much no matter what because almost all car windshields are made of multiple pieces of glass and/or plastics so they will refract the light slightly differently. This is a pretty mild effect most of the time and not very distracting. All said a done, if your on the fence go for it. It’s cheap and likely works good enough for most people.(2010 Subaru Outback - if your curious)

I've tried others this seems to be the best
I believe their advertisement is true. You don't need a reflective film, the instrument is quite bright. But you also have to consider that you're windshield has two surfaces. Both the inside and the outside of the glass are polished and give excellent reflections, therefore you get a double image which is a little disconcerting. This can be remedied quite easily with a small reflective film. Fortunately I had one left over from my previous device but these are for sale quite cheaply at other Amazon sites. As for the accuracy I was able to adjust the speed steps to where it would correctly match a radar speed detector very close to our home. If you happen to drive a Land Rover LR like I have, the correct setting would be 102. The Land Rover has a terrible speedometer not in its accuracy but it's visibility. The heads-up display is a godsend.

Not as advertised
Very difficult to install. No instructions about how to mount the display. The HUD failed to default to imperial instead of metric, the instructions said hold the button in to go to the base settings and choose 1-2 for metric or imperial settings. It did not. Additionally, the HUD fails to displays the actual MPH to match the speedometer. The up-down dial fails to display anything other than KPH or MPH. None of the other functions work. No temp no electrical. I can say the projection on the windshield was good. No need for the enclosed reflecting film. All in all it sucks.
