The product came in the incorrect box and clearly out of its original packaging. The dish had scuffs on it and was covered in a semi-sticky black coating. After removing the label residue with some cooking oil (a great idea to get rid of the sticky bit btw) I noticed the black coating had come off into the oil. Now considering most curries you make will include oil as a main ingredient I'm suspect of its safety when using it for its intended purpose.However that said, after I used cooking oil to remove the rest of the coating it seems like quite a servicable item. Just beware of the quality and also coating.

Really looks the part, authentic heavy, treat this like a wok by burning oil over it, should last many years !

Words cant say how dissapointing this product is, the quality of the finish is really awfull, the handle on one side of the dish is vertually non existant, it is pitted and almost rusted through. Also dispite seasoning the dish with oil, when you put it on the heat to use it the smell that comes from it is like an over powering chemical, and at nearly £20 each are a complete waste of money!
