I used to always have M&S but they must have secretly changed their tea recipe as it was leaving a taste and staining my favourite mug, this brand of tea scores highly on all fronts!! If you’re looking for an excellent cuppa, these will tick that box Review: The best decaf tea on the market - The best decaf tea you can find, I was told I have to stop drinking caffeine, and I love tea. My goto tea has always been Yorkshire but the decaf just didn’t have the strength I like in a tea. Tictok tea which I’ve only ever found in Waitrose, tastes a strong tea. You can get a proper builders brew with these tea bags. The pack of 4 works out very affordable and now as I have one box left I’ll sure be ordering again.

Great for evenings
I confess I had never heard of the Tea brand "Tick Tock" before now and not only that, I don't even think I've ever had decaffeinated tea before either. If I have it was so long ago I don't remember it anyway. But I'm a big tea drinker and I'm always open to trying new things. These specific "Tick Tock Decaf Tea Bags" appealed to me in two ways. Firstly, they are in bulk buy format. Four boxes of 80 bags for a total of 320 bags. Ever since the events of a few years ago I have been more conscious of buying in bulk. It gives peace of mind knowing I have 'stock in' so to speak. The second thing I find appealing is actually the decaf nature of the product(s). Now, I understand this might actually not be a selling point to some folks, but for me I often fancy a cuppa after my evening meal but sometimes talk myself out of it, particularly if it's after 7pm, on account of not wanting the tea to effect my sleep or ability to get to sleep in the first place. These bags, being decaf, remove that issue from the equation and I can have an evening tea with this without worrying. So to these specific Tea bags then. You don't do anything different really, that's the first thing I learned. You boil your water as normal, but the bag in your mug as normal and brew the two as normal. Adding milk is the same as it ever was. Maybe you know all this already, and sorry if you did, but there may be some Decaf Tea bag newbies out there like me who wonder if the process is any different. In keeping with "nothing is different" the brewed tea still looks as black as normal and adding milk makes the same colour(s) depending how much milk you add. Now the taste test is the all-important part... It was fine. Nothing really different or noticeably so at least to me and my palate. It was a fairly run of the mill tea drink. My regular brand is Yorkshire Tea and I didn't find this to be as flavourful as Yorkshire, but it was not unpleasant by any means. I'm happy for this to be my Evening or after-dinner tea although in all honesty I don't think it will replace my favourite tea in the mornings/daytime. Nonetheless I am going to give this a five star review. My reasoning being the bulk buy factor and the fact that this solves an issue I had with regards to evening tea drinking. Also of course the fact that I plain old like it!

Smooth, great flavour, not obviously decaf to taste
The Tick Tock teas I make sure I’ve always got in the cupboard are their rooibos varieties. The Earl Grey rooibos, the green rooibos, the vanilla rooibos and the regular rooibos are all favourites of mine (yes all of them!). And yet, I’d never really bothered to check out their black tea until now, which I now realise was an oversight. While it doesn’t taste especially distinctive compared to other brands, the quality is great. There’s not a lot of actual tea inside each teabag, with each one looking half empty. But the teabag is quite generous with colour and flavour when it brews, and you can easily get a nice dark brew out of it. There’s a bit of the Earl Grey quality to it that makes it palatable, just about, without milk, and there isn’t too much of that tannin-y aftertaste. However, like most breakfast tea, it does work better with milk, for sure. I tried it with oat milk as well and that was also a success. Each box follows the very familiar ‘two foil wraps with 40 in each’ format that you’d expect from most major brands. The price for four boxes at time of writing is just under eighteen quid, which is OK considering delivery and so on, though it’s not rare to see it for four quid per box in my local supermarket so the price is not an absolute bargain right now. But with a reasonable price, and based on the lovely taste and the quality, for me this is a five star tea.

Biodegradable tea bags
I always drink decaf tea so decided to trybout this Tick Tock decaf tea. My first impressions- tea bags comes in 2 and you need to separate it like back in the day. OK, this is not a problem. I had to do that one by one as otherwise I was ripping a tea bag itself. OK, not a problem and it does not take too long to separate one box of tea bags. While separating them I have noticed quite a bit of tea/tea dust staying on my hands and kitchen top. But hoped that this will not be the case once tea is brewed. Unfortunately some tea/dust does stay in a cup. Not much though and only very fussy drinkers will.notice that. The taste- first few cups I defenetly felt that it is a bit bitter in comparison with my usual decaf tea. However after a few more cups I actually got used to the taste and now it tastes just great. Overall I think this tea is actually quit good. And I will continue drinking it.
