Note: did not purchase for cable splicing The leather sheath has held shape and loop for two years under weight, pulling and hanging. The butter knife has never bent or warped under weight, pressure or pounding... (not safety recommended) but this blade has been used to cut plastics, natural and synthetic ropes, webbing, mule line, cardboard, wood, drywall, cement board, dried fast set, mortar, the occasional conductor shielding, even used to lever things open and apart, as well as turn screws. Not recommending the blade as a 5-in-1, but in two years of job site pounding, the butter knife holds up (always wear safety glasses). The blade could use a sharpening, but the metal even tolerates a file put to it. The rubber handle has held up to metal studs, shiny 90s, cuts, heat, chemicals, hammer pounding, and innumerable drops. The snips are okay, too. You may not use this set to skin a kill in the woods, but as a general purpose cutter set, it holds up and wears easy, sitting out of the way on the waist.
