Does the system have a built-in power surge protector?

Hello, Thank you for getting in touch. No it does not. It can continue powering the loads through power cuts, but a power surge could potentially damage the connected equipment. What are the connection requirements for this unit ie from solar array, batteries, output etc, and minimum cable sizes?

Hi, Thank you for your inquiry. At minimum, this unit requires a 48V battery bank connected with cables of 38mm^2 cross-section. For solar power, this unit can take a maximum of 4000W power which must be supplied at a voltage from 60-115V. We would suggest 10mm^2 cable for a typical large solar array. Are batteries built in too

Hello, Thank you for getting in touch. This unit does not have built-in batteries, these would need to be sourced externally. The unit is rated to charge a 48V battery supply, this specific model has pre-defined charging programmes for flooded & sealed GEL/AGM lead-acid batteries. It also has a user-defined battery type with numerous customisable settings, for charging other lead-acid batteries. Will the system accept AC input from the grid of 240V?

Hello, Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding our Iconica 5000W 48V hybrid pure sine wave inverter. This unit can accept an AC mains input such as from the grid providing it’s within the voltage range of 220-240V. On connection to the mains input / grid it will be able to power the loads from this power source whilst also re charging the batteries should it need to. It can also automatically switch between powering the loads from the battery or from the mains connection allowing it to offer a solution as a Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). Please note that the output will still be limited to the inverters maximum output (5000W) even when powering the loads directly from the mains AC power source. I hope this clears things up for you.
