Great lock, super easy install
This is my first smart lock. I researched the heck out of smart locks and found this one checked off a majority of the features I was looking for. Amongst a lengthy list, a few items were a must: >Has to be easy to function/wife approved. I have a non-tech savy spouse and she would not approve of anything more involved than traditional operation. I also have a teenager to contend with. Lock has to open from the exterior without having to open your phone to access an app. >I want to be able to physically look at the lock to see it is locked. Some smart locks don't have any physical indicators to tell if it's locked. It's not something that is advertised one way or the other, but you'll miss it off you don't have that. This lock has a red dot on the part that turns the show you its position. Aside from the indicator dot, the lock has a function that, in conjuction with the sensor it comes with and the app, locks the door after it has been closed. I was sick of coming home to find my kid didn't lock the door behind her after school. With auto-lock, all she has to do is close the door. And don't worry about getting locked out, the keypad is out there. >Needs to be compatible with a keypad. This keypad rocks! You can use a password, scan your finger or add NFC keys. The NFC keys are a game changer. You add up to 10, I think, and it takes just a few seconds to register new keys. The lock only comes with one NFC card. So you'll have to purchase a bag. I bought a bag of 20 NFC tags for $10. They were keychain tags and are worth everything penny. Also in the app you can set if they are permanent or temporary. If they are temp keys you can even set how long they are active. All great features! The lock itself is very robust and a breeze to install. You keep the existing keys and half of the hardware. The internal side of the deadbolt is removed and replaced with the lock. It comes with two new threaded screws, screw those in and you're pretty much done. The hardest part are the little screws that screw into the sides of the box. Literally took me longer to do that than the actual install. Forgot to mention you can also lock/unlock it with Alexa with the included hub (though I use Home Assistant). Great product all around. I will highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smartlock!

Great lock! Convenient time saver especially with kids
Easy install, very convenient to have the finger scanner for the kids. No more worrying if they took their keys, or them standing in the rain and snow asking me to open the door while I get something out of the car after a shopping trip. Definitely spend the extra money for the finger scanner. Code is OK but much easier and faster to just present your finger and door unlocks. No more fishing keys out of your pocket or bag.. You also get notifications when they get home and unlock the door which is great when they're being dropped off by friends etc. The piece that mounts on the inside of the door is a little bulky but in my opinion the convenience outweighs the look of the locking mechanism. Make sure your old lock works smoothly and you don't have to force the key to lock/unlock. If so, you may want to make the opening in the door jam larger so the bolt doesn't have a hard time opening/closing before you install the new lock. I've never had a problem but I could see the battery draining quickly or possibly getting jammed which would be a headache. Also great if you want to give someone temporary access to the house like a neighbor while you're away, this can be done from the app by setting up a pin code for them. I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it!

Very poor customer service
Installed my Switchbot and it worked great for 24 hours. The keypad lost power. Took the keypad off and checked the battery. The keypad works great for another 24 hours. Even bought new batteries and the same. Realizing there was an issue reached out to customer service by phone and the number just rings. Reached out by email and it took 5 days for them to respond. I have asked to exchange the broken unit for one that works and all they say is send a video. I sent the video and now no response. They asked for my number to call me and discuss this issue. That was over a week ago and no phone call. This has continued for over a month. No exchange, no refund I would not recommend a product that has poor customer service and can't back their products.

Quality Product, works with most deadbolts
The pro version looks so much better than the original version. The keyboard add another level of quality. For the most part, the install is pretty simple, the set up of the mini hub can be difficult, to pair to the homekit. Important to read the instruction and watch the Switchbot's own tutoial Youtube videos. The cons, to attach the lock to the mounting plate, the screws are tiny and have a hex head, if you're old like me, impossible to see. I had to purchase a load screw driver with a 5/64 hex head. Other than than, it's a great product, turning your existing lock to be very SMART!!

Quick reliable smart lock that works with all sorts of weird door locks
I bought the keypad + lock combo last year and so far it's been great. We are renters with a sort of odd lock, so we couldn't use any of the adapters. However, we were able to attach the lock directly over the existing latch and it worked just fine. I think you can get an adhesive pad through switchbot support, but I just used 3m command strips and that worked fine. It's very quick to unlock, usually under 1 second. It's very convenient to use fingerprints to unlock the door. I eventually ended up buying the rechargable battery pack so that I could top it off with usb c. I've charged it maybe once every 6 months, but I think maybe because our lock is stiffer it requires more power to turn. I like the it can auto-lock and send notifications if someone leaves the door open too long. One thing I noticed is that if you manually twist the dial to unlock a lot, it can sometimes lose it's calibration, but if you just push the button for it to unlock itself, it doesn't lose calibration.

Great company! Great customer service!
I am updating my review. This is an amazing company. I have NEVER received this level of customer service from any other company, ever. They have completely addressed the problems I was having so it should not occur again for other purchasers, but they reached out to me several times to try and fix it for me. Given my distance from the device, they refunded my purchase price without my having to return it. I will definitely be happy to purchase from them in the future and recommend them to others. Great company. Great customer service! This is a very cool device and it has won awards. I bought it for a condo that we use as a vacation rental and stay in a few times a year. We had always used a key for the front door because the Home Owners Association mandated that we could not change our locks because the fire department would not be able to enter in an emergency if we did, so this seemed like the perfect answer. It worked while we were there just fine. When our first renters showed up, I started getting all kinds of messages about the lock jamming and that we needed to take a key when we left. Messages stating that the fingerprint recognition which we had not enabled was being used incorrectly and was going to be disabled. I figured it was user error until our long-time renter, who is extremely handy, arrived and could not make the lock work. Then I got a message that all these problems would be solved if I would authorize a firmware update, and was told my phone needed to be near the lock. I was more than 3000 miles away. This is probably a great product if you install it where you live, but don't count on it for a vacation rental that you are not within easy access of. Our kind renter took it off for us and installed a regular keypad entry keyed to the master key. The SwitchBot will be long past a return date by the time I get back to the condo. I wish I had known.

Unlock from anywhere
I’m very pleased with this product. Very ease to install, unlocks at a decent speed, not too noisy and I love the fact it’s connected to the home network so I can unlock from anywhere. And the auto lock feature is my favorite.

It's ok, needs calibration a lot
I sat on writing this review until I have had some significant time with this. At this point I have been using this on a frequently accessed door for 6 months give or take. I have these joined into Home Assistant via an ESPHome bluetooth proxy. I haven't been able to be completely free of the switchbot app unfortunately. The key pad works great. No complaints there. Had to use the app to pair it to the lock, but I haven't had to worry about the key pad since The lock itself is another story. I tried using it with the included magnet/contact sensor. That was kind of a mess. Almost everything caused the lock to freak out and need to be recalibrated. I have already had to change the batteries once in 6 months which was surprising. However the door doesn't allow you to lock it electronically when the batteries get too low which was great. After I externalized the door status to a zwave contact sensor I have had significantly less annoyances. I cannot express how many re-calibrations I had to do because of the magnet or the door accidentally locking when it was open etc. End result is, you still need to have the app around to recalibrate the lock, for example if you take it off for some reason or you have completely dead batteries etc. Day-to-day the home assistant integration works, but long term I still feel like this will never truly be my device until you can recalibrate from the integration.

Very easy to install, works great with uk "rise handle to lock" ,if you forgot or don't want lock to autolock it will try to lock and report error, works great with home assistant locally, batteries lasted 7 months, very easy to add fingerprint or code in the app, very well made keypad

Veramente eccezionale
Insomma, per me è super.
