Ditch the tape and go with loctite self mixing 5 minute epoxy.
Great fit and look for older style vw paddle wheels that do not allow removal and replacement of padels. My recommendation unless you want these paddles to be removed later is to remove the supplied tape. Scruff up the area where the tape was with some coarse sand paper. Coarse sand paper the plastic OEM paddles on the back of the wheel. Grab a tube of loctite self mixing 5 minute epoxy from hardware store or walmart and epoxy them on.
