Really Nice Hat

Great hat, be aware that the fabric is weathered-look
This is a great hat in terms of construction, fit, material, and comfort. My only gripe with it isn't exactly a gripe, it's just that what I took to be merely artifacts of lighting in the photo here are in fact the white-ish areas that come as part of a weathered-look fabric sort of like denim jeans. My eye and brain thought it was a normal, un-weathered fabric and that the lighting in the photo was the cause of it looking the way it did, sort of a reflection/sheen/fade. Looks like another reviewer here had the same issue with the hot pink as I did with this I will probably return it but it's a shame because it fits great, sits great, and feels great. Just know that what you're looking at in the photo is in fact accurate colorwise. Don't trust your dumb brain and its corrections. Maybe I'll keep it and try dyeing it. I hate to give up a great-fitting hat in my neverending search for hats that fit my huge head.

Leather band rots from sweat
For anyone who is a heavy sweater or would exercise while wearing a hat (or hang out in a swimming pool), be aware that you can only get this hat wet a few times before the leather strap shrinks, cracks, and breaks. The hat becomes useless after that. If they had a fabric band, this hat would be great because it has a nice fit; it’s just not durable.

Perfect everyday hat!
I purchased a hat from Tumbleweed TexStyles with one of their designs embroidered on it. I loved the way the hat fit so much that I ordered this plain one I could wear to work everyday. It fits better than any hat I’ve ever purchased. My other favorite is the ‘47 hat and this fits very similarly to that one. I like that it’s unstructured and I can fit my ponytail through the back. Plus, like any great hat, it gets better with time!
