I primarily use it to photograph wristwatches, and it consistently delivers a clean, professional backdrop. The light box folds down compactly into its own tote bag, so it's easy to carry and store. There are two small drawbacks: 1) the plastic tab system used to lock the panels is a bit clumsy. Magnets would be a much faster and more durable solution. 2) The LED lights are bright, but not dimmable. I created a quick DIY diffuser by taping a strip of white copy paper over the LEDs, which worked well. With just a couple tweaks of magnetic panels and dimmable lighting, this would be an essential piece of gear for every product photographer. As it stands, for the price and portability, it’s still a solid choice. Two thumbs up!

The Pros: 1- Box is bright and easy to use 2- Good for small items Now for the cons: 1- the construction is quite poor. 2- The connection to the power/light strip was loose on the one I received and so I'm exchanging it to see if the next one is better. Fingers crossed. 3- The box doesn't open tight on the corners and has a tendency to buckle into itself 4- The cloth included is very porous and shows up in any image - if that's the look you're going for great, if not then you'll need to edit the photos quite a bit. 5- if you want to set up a cool display or take a photo of a tall item/object I wouldn't recommend this model.

Happy with this!!! Light box is easy to assemble and helps me take great pictures. I am still learning how to take excellent pictures, but my product from Faithlinks Jewelry looks 100% better than ever! Great price! I have not used the colors for background yet, but white works so well for my beachwear and pens. I did tape the ends because the box was not real secure (kind of flimsy) but so happy with this item. Five star.

Cute for small items.

I bought this with the feeling that it was a small investment and if it wasn’t perfect I wouldn’t be too put out. I bought the one for $16.99 with the extra strip of lights, so two strips total. One of the cords did not work right out of the box. So I’m using one of my own cords. The background fabric is not smooth and that shows up in the photos. I was thinking I may cut a new sheet of my own material to have a smooth background. One of the main concerns I have is the inconsistent color that I get when taking pictures. The reason I wanted a light box was so that I could easily take product photos with a consistent background color. I realize now that this may be difficult to acheive with this light box. I will probably continue to take photos outside with my white boards and use this box inside for when I’m working at night. This is a small box. I cut a piece of paper in the corresponding dimentions before I ordered it to make sure it would work. I would recommend you do the same! I will probably keep this as shipping it back will be a further waste of time. But I will have to make some adjustments to make it work. You can see the inconsistent colors in the photos I posted. The first photo shows the blue tint that others mentioned in their reviews. In the second photo you can see the fabric texture. The last photo shows how thin the fabric is, you can see the box through the fabric. You can also see shadows and that blue tint again, this was taken coming through the top opening. I’m taking these photos with an iPhone 6s.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my partner so he can take photos with great lighting! Lots of light options and different colour backdrops
