Michael S. Smith is one of the finest designers in the world, and has worked on everything, including The White House. This is a beautiful book, and his latest after ten years, with hundreds of fantastic rooms and gardens. I have collected all of Michael S. Smith's publications, and this is a very good addition.

Keeps getting better.
Michael Smith keeps getting better and better. I have all his books starting with the first one, and he never disappoints. This one is the most varied and sophisticated of them all.

Worst design
I returned this book. I love Michael S.Smith two previous books, great design.. until this last one. All gray/brown drabby, terrible " vintage" furniture even I wouldn't use. Nothing I like in comparison to his earlier design. Just depressing colors all over . Sorry he went that route

Disappointing Design
I was disappointed with this book. The pictures featured by the editors in the book listing were the best pictures in the book. This is not a book for cozy or traditional inspiration. This book contains very modern, somewhat contemporary design elements. If you are looking for traditional, warm inspiration…this book is not it.
