Williams SoundPPA Seek-Button Channel Selection FM Receiver Without Earphone/Batteries, 200-15kHz Frequency Response

Unit receives callers voice using FM radio transmission from a broadcast sent out by the audio equipment of the square dance caller. I am hard of hearing and especially with a lot of background noise of other dancers this device makes the calls very clear and I can control volume.

Did the job well, but the earbud they sell separately didn't have adequate volume sensitivity. They should correct the problem with it. Cheap ones at around $4.00 out perform it, yet theirs cost around $21.00. But once again, the receiver is great. It opened up a whole new listening world.!

This version of the Williams PPA can automatically search for transmissions and lock on to the frequency where it finds a signal. Pretty nice. Sound quality is a step above my older version. Belt clip seems difficult to use. I was looking for a Williams PPA FM receiver. This is what I got - along with significant improvements.

I got this item to use square dancing but never got to use it because of the corona-virus pandemic so can't really give it a ranting one way or another. Just seems like these things are a little over priced for what one actually gets. Many older square dancers seem to use these so they must help with understanding the calls. Don't know if I will ever get to back to square dancing again since I just completed the beginning dance class, joined a square dance club and then the virus shut down all square dance opportunities.

This is what we needed, and it was a good price. Has been working great since we started using it.

My Mom is 94 and hard of hearing even with latest and greatest hearing aids. She uses this device (with a pair of headphones) to hear the sermon and prayers at church. The church was supplying these, but they have all but disappeared! Gasp! Therefore, I have decided to purchase my own for my Mom, so she will not be without! These are a great device, and it is the exact duplicate of what the church was offering. I also plan to travel with it for any dinner shows, theatres, other churches, etc. .. that have a sound system transmitting FM sound. Many thanks to the Soundprofessionals for carrying this device! Works amazing an connects super easy!!

This is easy to setup and use. We are using this with an older model than is listed. Works well for the hearing impaired.
