A great 2.5Gbit LAN adaptor which performs great
Cheap and great speeds! I have plugged this into an old laptop running a server. The existing laptop has a 1Gbit Ethernet port and I needed a 2.5Gbit for use with my file server which also runs off a 2.5Gbit network. This connects via USB-A and speeds are a fixed 2.35Gbit, which is what I expected to see - 280MB/s! Usual 1Gbit is around 115MB/s. There's an LED indicator to show 1Gbit connection or 2.5Gbit - and flashes when data is being used. It is compact but has about 6" of cable so you can plug it in away from other ports. No drivers to install with Ubuntu, so easy to use.

Great product from UGREEN Highly recommended
Great device, so good brought 2. 1 for my pc as it was running the onboard 1 gigabit connection and the 2nd for my pi5 which im using as NAS device (openmediavault)It really is plug and play for windows. The pi not so much....runs fine on the PI full desktop OS. but when using Pilite (no desktop) for openmediavault I had to use a legacy version to get the adapter to work.Once up and running I was impressed as before using onboard ethernet adapters I was getting half 100mbits~ but paired with 2 of these also: https://amzn.eu/d/0dOBRGUR from the pi to router to PC I got double that. The device itself its well made by ugreen, its durable and a good length as expected (highly recommend their products)

Affordable and good quality adapter
I'm happy with this device so far. So far, so good. I can't really complain because it looks solidly made and does the job well. The price is affordable, and there are no visible corners being cut on quality. Definitely a decent purchase and worth recommending.

Does the job
Little bit more expensive than others but far better quality and well made. Works well no issues would recommend.

Works much better than the cheapest ones
I thought that I was wise to buy the cheapest (£12-15) version of the 2.5Gbs USB adapters. I thought that they have the same Realtek chip and it is just the branding what may differ. I had a wild ride with those cheapo adapters. They randomly disconnected or Linux could not even recognise them ("bad cable").They continuously reset themselves, causing the device disconnecting and appearing again on Linux. Forget about them. This adapter so far just works as I hoped it will. No disconnection issues.Connected them to Synology NAS devices and with the extra driver, they works stable and 2.35Gbs speed or about 250MB/s NFS writer speed are achievable. It works on Linux (Proxmox) and it operates stable. (Not like the cheapo version).Windows works as well, but surprisingly it works worst on Windows than on Linux!I tried this unit on a modern HP laptop and it could achieve an iperf3 test around 1-1.5Gbs. I thought maybe there is some constraints on the shared USB bus. But, on Linux, iperf3 runs on 2.35Gbs. Okay, it is maybe one device, so I tested on others. Similar experience. I tried to update the driver, but no real speed improvement. Luckily Windows was not my main objective.I was not super lucky with OPNsense. The device recognised the adapter and it works with it but it felt like that, even on the switch, the negotiated speed was 2.5Gbs, it may stuck on USB2 speed on my box as the max speed was around 360Mbs. You may be luckier, at least it works and stays stable. After all, I will order these again if I expand my 2.5Gbs network with new devices.

Met throughput of 2.5Gbps
Needed a network adaptor to take advantage of better-than-1Gbs broadband. Can confirm that speedtest met expected throughput and iperf3 between devices hit close to 2.5Gbps

Works well for my Raspberry Pi 5
I am using this to connect my Raspberry Pi 5 that is used as a server, to the rest of my network. The chipset (Realtek RTL8156BG) is part of the new Linux kernels, and thus does not need any drivers on modern Linux distros, and probably also does not need a manual install on Windows 11. It has been stable and can provide the throughput it is advertised at on my Rasberry Pi. It will not work at 2.5G speeds on a Switch (2) though, and AFAIK does not work on XBOX Series X/S.

USB To ETHERNET ADAPTER
Arrived in perfect condition definitely a good option for a laptop that supports windows 11 and also works on Mac

Been a few months of non-stop usage, works fine.

Awesome
Works flawlessly on Windows 11 and Kubuntu 24.04 without having to look for any drivers! Clocks in at 2,5 Gbit as advertised just make sure that your router / switch also supports it! Some routers will state they have one 2,5 Gbit RJ45 socket and they usually mean the WAN connection to your internet supplier - NOT your LAN. Double check this before purchasing ;)
