You really have to see these beacons in action to realize how realistic they are.  Check out the video below.  This high-quality assembly has seven LEDs and an embedded microcontroller, and it all fits into the space of a 2x2 LEGO brick!  Just add power and you are ready to go.  To add variety, the beacon even has 13 built-in effect modes.  You can use a paper clip to set the mode inside the beacon housing, and the mode is preserved even when power is off. Power supply not included.
