Excellent Product
This is an excellent calculator for the price. It offers great value for money as it has a wide range of options. I would have preferred it if there were more generic modes e.g. as opposed to having a mode for complex numbers and a separate mode for general computation however that is the only real fault I can find, but you get used to skipping through the menus soon enough. Recommended for A levels to uni work.

YES Best calculator for A level Maths, Physics, Further maths
Best calculator for A level Maths, Physics, Further maths, I use it all the time, It is great for imaginary numbers, On Edexcel AS, FP1 you can practically use the calculator to answer a question,(Warning mathsy talk ahead..)It has been useful to me for:- Finding imaginary number Times and division- Modulus of an imaginary number- Argument of an imaginary number- Solving quadratic and cubic equations- Integrating between boundsAnd more! Great for the leap between GCSE and A level.

low cost, high features
What a bargain! this calculator does so much for so little outlay. you have to spend a small fortune to get an HP calc to do the same thing. Solar powered, with battery back up. This calc can work on equation input as well as conventional notation, it will also do matrices and solve differentials and integral (I think). I have yet to explore everything, but it does a lot of what I need, and I design jet engines for a living. It looses one point due to cheap plastics and an awkward case, but it acceptable given the price. Also the manual is rather poor compared to the spiral bound tomes that come with an HP, but again this reflects the price.

Brilliant!!
My favourite calculator ever. It's very versatile and is ready to solve anything you throw at it. I also love the natural input (you can enter your problem as it is: in a fraction or under a square it, being displayed as it is in the textbook or whatever). Won't disappoint!

Answers in Fractions not decimal.
If you decide you wish to calculate 2 divided by 5 the answer displayed by this calculator is 2/5 - very helpful, to get it to show you 0.4 you have to push the S=D button. Do not think there is an operators preference that gives you decimal answers - because there isn't. You get supid answers displayed by this approach for instance 1258954 divided by 6 = 629477/3 press s=d to get a useful result of 209825.667.Another annoying thing if wanted sin30 x 2, on a standard calculator you would just enter that & get the result = 1, this calculator (after you have pressed S=D, gives you 0.8660 eg sin 60. So to do the the calucalation you have to enter sin (30 ) x 2; you are forced to muck around with parenthesis.By the way the sin 60 is displayed as - sq root of 3/2.Perhaps its old age but I have had calculators since the days of LED displays, & battery life was measured in hours, but not one has wound me up as much as this one. There is one glimmer of joy when a result defeats the machines ability to display it as a fraction first & a decimal result is displayed!

This one is actually recommended for GCSEs and allowed in the exams.
This is actually the one that's recommended for GCSE Maths and Science and allowed in the exams, I bought what I thought was the same one (it's much cheaper, but don't be fooled) but has no or Citizen label in place of the Casio one. They are NOT accepted and your child could have this confiscated leaving them with no calculator to help them with their equations. The cheaper one I gave to my 12y/o as it works the same but will get him one of these when he does his GCSEs.

Super aid for School Maths
For a youngster on the ladder to 'A' Level to be able to see the progress of the calculation onscreen is great. What other calculator shows this calculation path? Very good for error checking. Any error in the input will show onscreen as well as the answer.Grandson delighted with it. Christmas present from Grandpa Graham. I want one!
