Roborock Q5+ Max – Still the Best Choice for Pet Owners!
I originally had the Roborock Q5 and absolutely loved it—it handled my multi-cat household with ease. Unfortunately, it stopped working within a year. Hoping for better longevity, I tried switching to another well-known brand. That turned out to be a mistake. Within two weeks, I returned it because it simply couldn’t match the performance of the Roborock. The Q5+ Max is a major upgrade. The mapping system is far superior to the other brand I tried. With the previous vacuum, it got stuck under the couch and I had no idea where it was—its map didn’t even show the room it was in. I had to move furniture just to find it! In contrast, Roborock’s app shows exactly where the vacuum is at all times. Even better, the Q5+ seems smarter than the original Q5—it avoids areas where it might get stuck, like under beds or tables. The “no-go zones” feature is easy to set up and works flawlessly, giving me full control over where it cleans. I use the “no-go zones” to ensure it doesn't go under my beds or couches just for peace of mind. One of the standout features is how quiet the Q5+ is. Compared to other robot vacuums I’ve tried, this one is noticeably more peaceful, even when running multiple times a day. I have tile and hardwood floors that show every bit of cat hair. Even on the lowest suction setting, the Q5+ picks up all the fur and leaves my floors looking beautiful. It’s incredibly effective and doesn’t require constant adjustment to get great results. The dustbin and auto-empty dock work seamlessly, making maintenance minimal. This is a huge plus when dealing with pet hair daily. I run the vacuum multiple times a day, and it keeps the hair under control without needing constant attention. While the Q5+ Max cost a bit more than my original Q5, it’s absolutely worth the investment. The performance, features, and reliability make it a standout. Even if this one only lasts a year like the last, I’d still buy another without hesitation. The app allows me to select specific rooms, set up cleaning routines for high-traffic areas, and monitor everything in real time. The battery is strong enough to clean my entire bottom floor—about 2,000 sq ft—in one go. Final Verdict: If you have pets and want a reliable, smart, and quiet robot vacuum, the Roborock Q5+ Max is hands-down the best choice. I highly recommend it!

Finally, A Robot Vacuum That Lives Up To Its Promise
This gizmo is my third robot a vacuum. My wife and I are not exactly neatniks, to say the least. The idea of a robot vacuum roaming our home and cleaning up was too compelling to ignore. So we were early adopters of the technology... to our great disappointment. Our first machine was a very expensive $1K Samsung vacuum. It turned out to be very poorly designed and very primitive by today's standards. It would get stuck everywhere and had no base station for automatic emptying. Its promise exceeded its abilities. But still, it did prove that the concept that a robot vacuum had a place in our home if the bugs could be worked out. It took a lot for us to finally trash such a pricy investment but it was just too frustrating. We eventually decided to give a Roomba a try. This one had a base station for auto emptying and a better design to keep from getting stuck on the furniture. But no! Another loser. As a vacuum, it worked fine. But its navigation algorithm seemed to be to send it out on a random walk through the house. Sometimes it would find its way into a corner dining area and never be able to find its way out, it would "obsess" over an area with multiple, multiple passes, the only way to keep it out of unwanted areas was with a virtual wall doodad that never worked properly, it would rarely find its way to rooms far away from the base station, it could not be directed to a specific area, and had great trouble finding the base station, often running out of power before getting home. So based on a glowing review I read of this Roborock, we took another gamble. This is it!!!! This is what we've been looking for for years. It does it all. All the problems we had with our two previous vacuums have been solved. You can read the features for yourself. It absolutely does what it says it can do. I can't recommend this machine more highly.

Broke immediately after the one year warranty
Update: The insurance plan I purchased on Amazon for electronics was able to fix this vacuum for me. The vacuum is repaired for now and I’m glad I choose to have a multiple device insurance because I’d otherwise be throwing this in the trash. I will update as to how long the vacuum holds up after this repair but since it’s broken down multiple times…I’m guessing I may have ongoing problems Original review: I do not recommend this vacuum….it was great at first……I spent a ton of money on this as a gift for my spouse. He loves technology and set everything up and we had a few problems but nothing that prevented it from working entirely ….until we were a month past the warranty period when the whole thing just stopped working. It’s like a $600 vacuum that just crapped out on us in 13 months. This is not the only problem we ran into…..several months in we had to order replacement parts and there are several things that have needed replacing since I purchased it. The company was not much help as we were a mere 30 days past the warranty period and they already had their money so…. Luckily I had a multi device insurance plan which I pay $16 a month for and it covers this. We have to pack it up and send it in and pay shipping and a deductible….and honestly? I’m personally a bit old school. I would have never purchased this for myself but as a very nice gift for my spouse? Sure. I will do that. For $600 I might as well have hired a personal maid to come in once a month and vacuum. This vacuum is overpriced and I’ve found every problem with it just an unnecessary pain. It’s hardly a year old and already broken down multiple times. If I did not have an extra insurance policy on electronics this would be a $600 piece of garbage. It is not durable. The vacuum was subjected to a reasonable amount of mess (mostly just dust and a bit of cat fur from 2 cats, there are no small children in the house). We did not even run it daily because it annoyed me. It’s loud and requires everything to be neat and tidy or it will get stuck on random things like cords, or the random shirt my teenage daughter left laying on the floor. We ran it every three days and it couldn’t even handle that for 13 months. It was subjected to minimal wear and tear. I regret buying it and caution anyone who is considering it to choose a company with a longer warranty. For this price I would automatically assume a 3 yr warranty. But nope. 12 months and then you are on your own if anything happens. Thank goodness for the extra insurance or I would be throwing it in the trash. The company was unhelpful, basically just like “yep, you’re past the warranty and SOL”. If you purchase this make sure you invest in a separate insurance plan. Even then…..it all just seems so unnecessary as I have a riccar vacuum that has lasted 15 years (and literally raising a child) without a problem. This robot stuff just seems unnecessary for me but my husband really enjoys tech things like this so I wanted to get him something special. It was special all the way up until it crapped out. I will update if the insurance is able to fix the vacuum or replace it. But just a warning to others I have not found this vacuum to be easy to use, nor has it been a problem free year. Seems something always needed replacing, resetting and in general just a lot of kinks. I would opt for a different gift if I could go back and choose something different. This has mostly been a pain and a large investment that will likely end in a $600 loss. Not a happy customer. This is just too much money and it isn’t durable. It also isn’t “smart” like it claims. It’s supposed to go around objects in the way but routinely attempted to vacuum up anything laying on the floor. You essentially have to pre-clean everything prior to the scheduled vacuuming. Lots of work that I honestly think I could simply do myself with my trusty Riccar that has only needed service twice in 15 yrs. Do not recommend this.

Best Robot Vacuum in the Market!
I’ve been using the Roborock Q5 Max+ for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home. The suction power is excellent—it picks up dirt and debris effortlessly from both hardwood and carpeted floors. The navigation is precise and smart, thanks to the LiDAR mapping system. It creates an accurate map of my home and allows me to customize cleaning zones, no-go areas, and schedules right from the app. The auto-empty dock is a game changer. I no longer have to worry about emptying the dustbin after every run—it handles that on its own and keeps the air surprisingly dust-free. The battery life is also impressive; it easily covers my entire home in one charge. Setup was quick and intuitive, and the app interface is user-friendly. You can control the vacuum remotely, adjust suction levels, and even set it to clean while you’re away. It runs quietly enough that it doesn’t disturb work calls or TV time. Overall, the Q5 Max+ has made keeping my home clean almost effortless. Highly recommended for anyone looking to automate their cleaning routine with a reliable, feature-rich robot vacuum.

Everyone should get one of this at home!
This is the second vacuum robot I own and I’m very impressed with this! The first one I bought was back in 2019 and it was dead after a year of used. It was not that advanced back in the days so basically I was more like babysitting it when was doing the cleaning, I had to guide it thru the whole process ,clear obstacles, and manually empty the bin, it created more work for me actually. I even felt so relief when it’s dead. Fast forward 6 years later, we moved into a bigger house with 2 boys, vacuuming everyday is now part of the big deal for me. I am so done with this hectic work! So I decided to give the robot another try, I did my research and carefully chose Robotrock Q5Maxplus this time as my vacuum buddy. At the moment I open the box, I can’t believe how easy the setup is! Just need to scan the code that sticks on top of it, download the Robotrock app on your phone, it will start automatically mapping the entire floor for you. Once you setup the no-go zone hit the start bottom then it can begin the vacuum. I don’t have to watch it doing the work anymore! Neither clean out the bin once the vacuum has done! After using it for almost a week, it has delivered nothing but great results. It helps me swap difficult to clean areas such as areas under the TV cabinet, dining table and coffee table. The auto setting to clean the house at desired time also takes away the manual reminder to clean the house at a certain time, especially when I set it at midnight so I don't need to interfere with the robot while it is doing itss "free" labor. I wish I could have bought this one years ago, but it’s never too late to get one now, or even more than one for my second floor as well.

unbelievable price - for that it's pretty good.
I only paid 300 delivered. I paid more than that for my first Roomba. After going through the usual hang-ups, getting stranded here and there, it settles in and does a pretty good job of mapping. Like any automatic vacuum, it doesn't clean like a "normal" vac, but vs. never vacuuming it does an ok job. It's a bit noisy and when it empties it's real noisy. The biggest negative is that it often gets clogged when emptying. The dirt is sucked through a "pipe" that has a 90 degree bend and the dirt often gets stuck there. But the mapping and editing the maps is pretty good and you can get it to work with voice control like: "clean the Kitchen." My house is about 2800 feet and when it runs out of juice, it goes back, empty's itself, recharges and continues. I mean for 300 bucks to keep the kitchen floor sort of clean and the dust bunnies out of the rest of the house - how can you go wrong. I suspect the mapping info goes back to China, so maybe someone there has seen my house layout - good luck with that - loll. Maybe the big price units do a better job, but for cheap 'ol me, this is fine. just remember, no fringe carpets, keep your cords bundled up tight, and don't leave clothing laying around or you'll have to go rescue it when it gets stuck.

Amazing robot vacuum
This is my second Roborock Q5 Max+. I bought the first one six months ago and have been using it daily ever since. I love it so much that I decided to buy a second one—one for upstairs and one for downstairs—so I don’t have to move it around. Here are some of the highlights: • The self-emptying dock is a game-changer; I no longer have to empty the dustbin manually. • The Roborock app is intuitive, creating detailed maps of my 4000+ sq ft home, allowing the vacuum to navigate efficiently and avoid obstacles. I can also monitor the cleaning process in real-time. • The powerful suction ensures thorough cleaning throughout our home. • I set up a cleaning schedule: half the house on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the other half on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This routine covers our 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home, plus a game room, completely every two days. • It adapts well to different floor types and has adjustable suction power, making it effective on hard floors, tiles, and carpets. • The vacuum is lightweight, making it easy to carry when necessary. • The app provides maintenance reminders, ensuring the vacuum stays in top condition. • I appreciate the app’s alerts that notify me of any issues and provide clear instructions for resolving them. In conclusion, the Roborock Q5 Max+ is a powerful and reliable robot vacuum that fits our family’s needs perfectly. Keeping our home clean has never been easier!

Fantastic cleaner and it doesn't run into the pet bowls
I have a horse farm and three dogs in the house. Lots of in and out, dust, dirt, dog hair gets in the house. This is my third robot vacuum, first Roborock, for the busiest part of the house. I love this thing. I downloaded the app, turned it on, it mapped my whole house automatically in about 10 minutes. WOW. Amazing. I set up no go zones for the dog bowls and virtual wall to contain it to the busy kitchen and living areas in minutes. It glides around and completely cleans the whole area in less than an hour. I can't believe I can make a no go area just a foot or so squre in the app and the robot is 100% accurate and avoids it. It has not pushed a water bowl around, gotten stuck, or died under furntiture. After three weeks, I have not had to empty the station. It is a little loud when the robot empties into the station, but only lasts about 20 seconds. The technology and intellegence in this thing is mind blowing. And it does a great job getting up the dog hair and whatever we track in!

Winner!
'Robbie', our Roborock Q5 Max, is my hero. The dust in our condo is reduced, and the floors are always clean. Robbie easily mapped out the space, and programming the schedule was a cinch. He reports daily on tasks completed and when maintenance is needed.

Limpia bien
