Smooth, mild taste, not bitter
Has a very smooth and mild taste. Took off one star because it was not what I was expecting. Mainly my fault, though - didn't read the fine print. Was looking for straight 100% Peaberry coffee. Wanted tocompare it to my regular store brand. This item is a blend of coffee, "dried fruit, savory chocolate, andorange". If that's what you're looking for, then fine. I was not expecting a flavored coffee.

My favorite coffee
I found this type/flavor of coffee at my local coffee shop and once I found it on Amazon I have ordered at least 4 bags a month ! I absolutely love it.

Lovely Coffee overall
I am trying out a number of different varieties offered by Volcanica Coffee company, and I have not been disappointed with any of them. They all are fresh, flavorful, and a better grade of coffee all around than the more "common" brands. The Tanzania Peaberry is no exception, and is fantastic when just made. The only critique I can offer is that if you let it sit on the warmer for about an hour, I got a trace of bitterness there but that is to be expected. There are some nice lighter flavor elements to this coffee that you are not going to get with just "regular" coffee, and yes, I drink "regular" coffee too. I do find with time, I am drinking more of the Volcanica Coffee though, and I am enjoying it.

Not such a great cuppa.
Very weak brew, even with two heaping scoops. No distinctive flavor. Not worth the money.

Metallic taste
Metallic tasting. I was really looking forward to this coffee but it was very disappointing. I used filtered water with 1 scoop of coffee for each cup of water, which is a standard ratio for all coffees. The taste has two issues 1) the coffee has a bit of a metallic taste and 2) the coffee tastes watery. I will try adding more coffee to the ratio tomorrow morning, but at $30/bag, each cup gets expensive.

Excellent coffee!
This Peaberry exhibited some nice deep chocolate notes with almond and marzipan highlights in the french press. Brewed through a paper or cloth filter the deep chocolate was transformed into more of a hazelnut nougat flavor and the citrus notes were just tangible. The body in all preparations was full, with a pleasant acid/body balance.lol ... I'm not really an officienado, it's just great tasting coffee with a crystal-clean, full bodied flavor and definitely worth the price. I used to buy Kona-grown Peaberry direct from a Big Island grower but it just gotten too expensive. This is a great, lower cost substitute. It’s a pleasure on the palate.
