Samsung Original Leather Cover for Galaxy S7 Edge - Black

Despite being a genuine Samsung case, it is fails completely at protecting the screen. After about 2 months I noticed a faint line on the left hand side of the screen. It turns out it's a wear mark caused by the lid side of the hinge strip of material rubbing against the glass screen of the phone through the motion of walking if you have the phone in your pocket.The scratches are actually down into the surface of the phone screen itself, and being a superdoodah material screen you cannot polish it out without damaging the surface.I contacted the seller 3 times and had no reply, so this is much a review of the seller as well as the case. Hale Communications youa re a shambles, selling sub standard products which damage phones, ironic of a product intended to do the exact opposite.I have learned to live with it and the phone still works, it just not cosmetically perfect as it should be when you spend £30 odd on a case.Functionally though, it works well, you can answer calls without opening the case and look at the time etc. I'm not sure if this outweighs the damage it inevitably causes but you can make that choice.After a bit of research it turns out the S4?, S5 and S6 clear Samsung cases all caused damage to the screen and if you contact Samsung directly within warranty periods they replace the screen and then ironically put a screen protector film on the phone screen to protect the phone from the case! Hilarious! I guess it's cheaper to warranty a few screens than lose profits from selling these cases.

I have never been one to post reviews about orders but I felt like I had to on this one seeing a few rather negative comments about this case.For me this is a fantastic case, I have always had cases on my phones iPhone, Sony to name a few, my Sony was a genuine Sony one and was fantastic but as I recently got a Samsung I wanted a genuine Samsung one to go along with the phone.I love the ability to close off the phone meaning you don't need a screen protector especially with the curved screen on this phone. The LED display is brilliant and you can also customise this to show certain symbols when certain people text you (please note this doesn't work for Whats app or any other messaging application). People saying that there is no magnetic catch, correct there isn't but I haven't found I have needed one as the cover flaps over and stays there.Overall, although I have only had the case for 4 days, it is in my opinion one of the best cases around, although you will pay a premium for this case I truly believe it is worth the extra money that you will pay for it

Samsung brought out a new version of the S7 edge in Powder Blue, a lovely color but the dreaded same as the Note 7.I decided to go for one as I do like the color. The problem is the black leather case which just does not fit right on this new model. No smoke without fire. This sells everywhere for a crazy £40 but Amazon are selling it for £19.95. I thought gotta grab one at that price. Would of left alone had the seller not been Amazon as surely it would of been counterfeit like so many products on the Amazon marketplace. Arrived today with the amazing Prime delivery. Everything seemed amazing until I tried to put the phone in it. Extremely tight and the sides are not evenly fitted. Maybe will give in time due to high quality leather. All in all disappointed but for that price it's worth waiting to see. Bit like a tight pair of leather shoes. Overall leather quality superb.

The fit of the clear plastic case is perfect, wireless charging is no problem either. The plastic is quite rigid and not gel like some. The corners that extend a little proud of the screen wrap around with some some little space at the edge so if the phone lands on a corner some shock will be absorbed by the extended corners of the case reducing phone damage. The proud corners also allow the phone to be placed face down on a flat smooth surface without screen damage.The clear case also shows off the phone well and adds very little bulk The only downside is that the edge of the screen is not protected because of the design of the phone and not adding bulk.If you are pretty careful with your phone this is a perfect balance between protection and good looks.This is not my only case as I switch cases depending on what I'm doing but I keep coming back to this one for general use. It's also easy to insert and remove the phone although once fitted the phone will not fall out.

The led screen and case are fantastic quality. The led screen has so much functionality and fascinates me for hours. The case is durable and copes with wear and dropping well. The lid sometimes opens as the leather spine is stiff at first. Unfortunately after roughly 2 months, the screen of the leds stopped working, I tested 3 different ones and all are the same. It's not battery operated so is not a case of batteries

This product did not work. Amazons replacement service was superb but it was not till I received the second cover I realised the first one was not new, It was missing several peel of its plastic protective covers. Unfortunately, as I had returned it immediately I was unable to photograph. The second cover worked fine.

Great quality product and well made. I have dropped my phone 3 times in total now with one of those times being on the pavement, thankfully the only damage my phone received was a small scratch near the headphone socket which is not covered by the case or indeed any case as this is an access point and needs to be open to use it. I can honestly say that if it was not for this case my screen would have probably smashed, that alone deserves a 5 star rating.
