Direct replacement, no fitting or adjustments needed. Just a little push to get the new knob seated is all. You will need to supply your own small zip tie to secure the shaft skirt to the bottom of the knobs base. *You have to cut the old one to remove the original knob. The old knob is usually tight and hard to get off but no need to break anything. Depress the button on the shift knob and tap on the base of the shifter knob with a small hammer while applying upward force and it should come right off. Easiest to do from the Neutral transmission position just be sure to apply your parking break so you don't roll away! LOL
