Yes, you should have no problem over boiling water, We use it for our soups, stews, and more. Just hand wash the machine.

Is this pot stirrer durable? Has someone here used it for a while and could confirm it's still running with no issues? Would really appreciate it.

I would say yes as I have used two of them every summer for several years. I use them to cook down salsa or spaghetti sauce for canning and they are running for several hours at a time. I love them😊
