USB ON/OFF SWITCH FOR USB 3.0 & 2.0 with extension cable // HmbG - 1402

I bought this after being delighted to find out it exists. Basically how I use it is, I have it connected between my PC and Headphones so that when I decide to use them or have an incoming voip call I can just use the switch to turn my Headphones on, as oppossed to to continously plugging in and unplugging them. This is great in my book as it saves uneccessary wear and tear on both the usb socket and plug. Im also considering a second one to put between my pc and webcam so that it can be disabled when not in use, without the need to unplug it or replug it everytime. Great product, really can't recommend it enough.

The on-off switch is what I've been looking for, to plug a flexible IKEA LED lamp into my laptop. Works perfectly. The thickness of the switch housing means that if it is plugged directly into one of the two adjacent USB sockets on my MacBook Pro, the other one can't be used. This is more of an issue with the Mac tan this switch though. I had to connect the supplied long and heavy-duty cable to the laptop and plug the lamp into the other end. I then bought some small clamps to secure the lamp to a document holder on my desk. Quite a contraption but it all works perfectly..

I was looking for an in-line USB switch for power and data. the cheaper ones seem to be designed for switching USB powered devices and don't seem to switch data as well. This does both.

Acheté pour un on/off afin de relier une clé usb à mon vidéoprojecteur (montage personnel) je n'ai plus à monter sur une chaise pour la mise en route, il fonctionne très bien et réponds à mes attentes, pour un prix assez doux ! Il fait ce pourquoi je l'ai acheté, 5 étoiles !

Der Schalter sitzt bei mir zwischen der Samsung S2 portable (500GB, formatiert unter FAT32) und dem kathrein UFS 923 SAT-Twin-Receiver mit eingebauter 500GB Festplatte. Kurz: Auspacken, einstöpseln, in Betrieb nehmen, läuft! Der Switch trennt die Stromversorgung mechanisch (kein Taster, der dauernd Strom zieht), die Stecker auf beiden Seiten, auch beim Verlängerungskabel, sitzen bombenfest. Schön ist auch die eingebaute LED zur On/Off - Erkennung, so kann man die externe Festplatte hinter den Geräten verstauen . . . Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Works perfectly! I had to put it in my car because Hyundai is not able to find why my USB stick is not detected all the time or why the radio freeze when it boots with the stick plugged so I put the switch OFF before starting the car, wait 10 secs, put it ON and radio detects it everytime. For now, no disconnection when ON so very happy!

...servivano non se né poteva fare a meno, per cui DUE confezioni prese!!!… si presentano bene, gli Interruttori "quasi" comodi, i Cavi di prolunga sono di buona fattura, confezioni accurate, unica Nota: lo Switch deve stare "a valle" dell'Hub non "a monte", perché' a noi e' capitato che "l'Innesco" degli HDD esterni connessi all'Hub, non riuscisse… no problem alcuno, presi DUE per i DUE Hdd esterni che adesso sono connessi tramite i DUE On/Off Switch… con i Cavi prolunga, consigliatissimi!!!
