These adjustable extenders worked very will with LED garage lights. Very easy to screw into fixtures. I did not want to work into bottom of fixtures so I installed metal octagon boxes screwed onto the vertical faces of the horizontal beams, taking care to have knockouts above the beams so that the strain relief screws would have clearance on the back of the boxes. Attached standard porcelain bulb fixtures to the metal boxes, which led to the screw-in sockets being 90 degrees from the desired vertical, so also installed these Extension Socket Extender Adapters with a 90 degree adjustable angle to aim the lights down. Easy to adjust the angle because the end both tilts and rotates (rotates without needing to turn in the socket). Had on socket that ended up near a brace and using two of these extenders easily got that LED light below the beam (see the second photograph).

We bought some bulbs with built-in motion sensors, but they didn't detect motion in the areas of the garage we wanted.With these extensions we can change the angle to trigger the motion lights precisely where we wanted.Good, practical and affordable solution.

Acceptable quality, but overpriced.

I have “boob light” fixtures in my upstairs hallway and no central A/C for the first time in over 20 years. There was a heatwave the week I moved in and there was 0 breeze from outside & no air movement in the hallway, making it extremely uncomfortable to walk through. I bought a socket screw in fan but with the fixture like it is, I needed this extension piece to be able to attach the fan at all. It was EXACTLY what I needed and got the fan working safely. Good quality, feels very well made.

I bought a bulb that didn't have a deep enough base to screw into my floodlight receptacle. I later saw a package with built and extender included so checked Amazon for just an extender. I put this in right away; this is just what I needed. Quality seems great and expect it to easily outlast the 'whirlybird'-style, outside LED I have. And won't have this issue next time I go for an LED floodlight - I have the solution I needed.

Could not get these to work so went with another similar product

Awesome product

I used this assembly to attach to the socket on a garage door box which was on an angle. I screwed this into the box socket and adjusted the arm down and screwed a four light LED light. Adjusted so it hung straight down. Perfect!
