Superb Enclosure for Cleaner, Safer & Higher-Quality Prints
I recently installed the Flashforge Adventurer 5M enclosure kit and it has made a noticeable difference in my printing setup. It exceeded my expectations in performance, design, and usability. ✅ What Impresses Me Most Temperature control & filament compatibility The enclosure helps maintain a more stable internal temperature, which has noticeably improved print consistency (especially with higher-temperature materials like ASA or PC). It creates a more controlled environment and reduces warping or layer issues. Amazon +1 Noise reduction & odor containment The kit has reduced the audible printing noise in my workshop. Prints inside the enclosure sound quieter, which makes working nearby much more comfortable. It also does a good job isolating fumes or odors generated by more aggressive filaments. Ubuy UK +1 Enhanced safety & dust protection Having an enclosure gives peace of mind—no accidental contact with heated parts during prints, and dust is kept away from sensitive components. It feels much safer for environments with pets, children, or general foot traffic. Amazon Customizable DIY design & aesthetics The kit’s modular, DIY design is a plus. You can personalize aspects (like exterior color) and it blends nicely into a workshop setting. Amazon +1 Complete parts & user experience All necessary components for installation were included, and documentation was adequate (with room for clarity). Once assembled, it worked as intended with minimal tweaks. ⚠️ Minor Drawbacks (but not deal breakers) Assembly effort & calibration The DIY setup requires some time and patience. Some parts needed fine adjustments, and if your printer’s calibration is slightly off, fitting inside the enclosure takes care. Material limits of the enclosure walls While adequate for many materials, the enclosure is not fully sealed for extremely high-temperature or chemically aggressive processes. If you push to extreme operational ranges, monitor temperature and ventilation. Size constraints & clearance Make sure you have enough room around your printer before installing—doors, wires, or clearance may become tight in smaller spaces. 💡 Tips & Best Practices from My Experience Before fully sealing, run a test print and make sure wiring and tubing have slack so they aren’t pinched. Monitor interior temperature during long prints (especially in warmer rooms) to make sure it doesn’t drift too high. Clean and dust the enclosure interior periodically to preserve clarity of the walls and prevent buildup. Use the enclosure especially when printing filaments that are sensitive to drafts or ambient temperature swings. Final Verdict: This enclosure kit is a very strong upgrade for the Adventurer 5M or any compatible printer. It delivers on quieter operation, better temperature control, safety, and overall print quality. If you’re serious about improving your printing environment, this is a solid investment.

Product in the enclosure kit are good
The items in the enclosure kit itself are are great quality. The print files from the FF site for this enclosure left a lot to be desired in my opinion. I had multiple failed prints before I was able to get a full set completed. I also have an AD5X and have the enclosure kit on it, it printed flawlessly when I printed it. The enclosure does help maintain a uniform temperature while it is printing, and keeps dust ect off the printer and print bed. Its clear sides and top also allows for viewing by the grandkids while safely keeping little fingers away.

Good
This was very easy to print and then install. I did not include the top filament holder(the machine has to fit under cabinets) and opted to use jbweld instead for the back drag chain connection and it worked excellent. This does require filament. I used HT-PLA by Polymaker. Note 2.5 rolls of PETG filament is recommended.

Cracked After Just a Few Months
I purchased this enclosure kit in February and have been very disappointed with the quality. While the hardware itself is acceptable, the clear viewing panels and lid are not durable at all. After only a few months of normal use, the clear panels have already developed cracks, and the lid is beginning to fall apart. I wasn’t rough with it, and it has simply been sitting on my printer doing exactly what it’s designed to do. For something that’s supposed to be a permanent enclosure, I expected materials that could hold up much better. It’s especially frustrating after spending the time and filament to print all of the enclosure parts, only to have the included panels fail so quickly. The clear plastic feels brittle and doesn’t seem suitable for a product that’s exposed to the heat and normal use of a 3D printer enclosure. Overall, the concept is good, but the quality of the included panels is extremely disappointing. I expected this kit to last for years, not start cracking and falling apart within a few months. I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.

Quite time consuming to make and put together. Much writer though
Make sure you know if you have the newer model. The sensor is in a different orientation than the old one. I didn’t realize this and printed everything for it. I was able to modify the spool holder for the sensor. It is time consuming printing everything for it and you will go through a lot of filament to make it. It is so much quieter with the enclosure on it. Would recommend slicing everything for PETG filament. When you try to snap the top pieces together they might break on you like they did me if you use PLA. Took me about 2 hours to assemble ones I had everything printed. Was very disappointed that it didn’t come with a small thing of glue for the magnets. Would definitely recommend this for your adventurer 5m printing but only giving it 4 stars because of how hard it was to find the plans on flashforges website and not being clear on needing a different file for the spool holder. The kit shouldn’t be as expensive as it is for what you get. I am happy with it but feels kinda cheap the top lid just sits on top wish it had some kind of hinges for the top cover

Must print parts also
Easy to install after you print the parts that the instructions tell you print. A little pricier than i would think they should be for what it is. They do fit Topher perfectly though and it looks great once it's done. Does help cut down on the noise and fumes also
