I've used it in the microwave for about 30 seconds without any issues. That said, while the seller mentions insulation and temperature retention, there is noticeable heat dissipation. You can feel mild warmth on the outer walls when the coffee inside is hot. It's not uncomfortable to hold and isn't a deal breaker for me, but it's worth knowing. Durable but absorbs ordor
The mug has an ordor when using. It fades after a week but still the smell persists. I once poured some chicken broth while cooking and the cup absorbed that ordor. After mutiple cleaning and boiling, the cup still smells the same. Otherwise material wise it's good. Unbreakable and with the lid it actually is spill proof but not too heat proof...
