Could be used with both. Just leaves a bid of cloudy Residue, just remove with warm water.

Q: Can it be used on silestone (quartz) countertops?

Yes. I have a sample piece and scrubbed it! It came out gorgeous. Polished it with a dry cloth and the shine was still there. Don’t go crazy but you should be fine.
