I did a lot of research in order to choose the watch I thought was right for me, narrowing down to the Suunto Race S and another leading brand. I wanted a watch with a fitness tracking, mapping function, a watch face that is not too large as I have small wrists and not too expensive. My research also included the ease of importing a GPX file. I am really happy with my choice. The watch was easy to set up; it isn't huge on my wrist; there is a comprehensive user friendly manual via the Suunto App; I could download regional maps via the Suunto App to my watch and importing a GPX file from my OS App to my watch was incredibly easy. Needless to say I am very happy.

This is a game changer. The off line maps is brilliant . I don't use it as smart watch only for tracking sleep and exercise and the battery life is outstanding i took it on holiday for 4 days using it every day and on two 10 mile runs and it still had over 50% charge at the end of the holiday. The app is very user friendly and gives some great info to more deep dive your perform. For the price point I think this is hard to beat.

Brilliant watch but the strap is terrible. I’ve lot the little clip that holds the excess on already as it pops open multiple times every day. Is there anyway I can fix or change this?

I love it. It’s fun and working very well.

It’s not a bad watch but it’s really not good enough for the £300 price. I expect a watch at that price to do everything but it doesn’t. I have an Honor gs pro which cost less than£200 and it is much better. It has track back so if you set a workout it will take you back to the start. Battery life is 3 weeks and it has an extremely bright face with many options. Do your research and don’t get fooled by many reviews on You Tube. They get paid for promotion products.

Overall a great watch for the price. Has the features that you want and need at some that you would not expect at this price point. I replaced the band but that has to do with personal preference rather than function. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced smart watch synchronise is really well with the app whether it’s on iPhone or on android.

Changed from apple watch to this one. Love the design, simplicity and workout/exercise info and guidance. + battery life. Hr sensor very accurate for me as well. ( treadmill running, cycling, sleeping ) I strongly recommend if you are considering to get one.

Fantastische sportwatch! Lange batterij duur en een batterij welke zeer snel oplaadt! Duidelijk en goed zichtbaar scherm tijdens het sporten. Dankzij de druktoetsen op zij kun je ook met handschoenen het uurwerk bedienen en dit is een groot voordeel! De metingen van hartslag, afstand, stappen en dergelijke zijn uiterst betrouwbaar! Verder is de app van Suunto zeer overzichtelijk! Geweldige aankoop

Die Suunto Race S ist eine Uhr, die in vielerlei Hinsicht begeistert. Schon beim Auspacken fällt die hochwertige Verarbeitung auf – sie fühlt sich robust und trotzdem leicht an, und das Design strahlt Premium-Qualität aus. Mit ihrer moderaten Größe passt sie perfekt ans Handgelenk und wirkt dabei nicht zu sportlich, sodass sie auch im Alltag eine gute Figur macht. Technisch bietet die Suunto Race S alles, was das Outdoor-Herz begehrt: GPS, GLONASS und Bluetooth sorgen für präzise Standortbestimmung und nahtlose Verbindung mit dem Smartphone. Das Display ist ein echtes Highlight – gestochen scharf, kontrastreich und selbst in direktem Sonnenlicht hervorragend ablesbar. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Offline-Kartenfunktion, die auf Touren absolut zuverlässig funktioniert. Der Akku hält genau so lange, wie es der Hersteller verspricht, was gerade auf längeren Abenteuern ein großes Plus ist. Die Suunto App ist übersichtlich gestaltet, auch wenn man sich im Vergleich zu Garmin zuerst etwas umstellen muss. Hat man den Dreh raus, begeistert vor allem die einfache und präzise Routenerstellung. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Diese Funktion erfordert eine Internetverbindung. Auf abgelegenen Berghütten könnte das ein Problem sein, aber mit etwas Vorbereitung (Routen vorher herunterladen) lässt sich das gut umgehen. Ein weiterer Vorteil sind die vielen zusätzlichen Funktionen, die über die Suunto Plus Apps flexibel geladen werden können. Mit Standard-22-mm-Uhrenarmbändern lässt sich die Uhr zudem individuell anpassen. Insgesamt überzeugt die Suunto Race S mit erstklassiger Bauqualität, vielseitigen Features und einem durchdachten Bedienkonzept (insbesondere da hatte ich mit Garmin Uhren immer Schwierigkeiten). Wer eine smarte, sportliche und trotzdem alltagstaugliche Uhr sucht, wird hier fündig.
