Super light and compact!! (but not for larger adults)
I got the iClimb folding chair primarily for my son to use. Right out of the box, I noticed that it is super light and small. Easy to throw in the trunk or just move around the house. Setting up the chair was straight forward. Not to many pieces or complicated. My 8-year-old son really liked it, but note that the back is lower so even for him is wasn't a slouch and rest your head posture, more upright. He used the side pocket to store his small toys or a drink. It worked great but doesn't get in the way if not being used. An added bonus was the carry bag that came with the chair. It feels super strong and makes moving the chair around very easy. Some travel bags are hopelessly small where you'll never fit the item back into it once unpacked... not the case here! The case is nicely sized - not too big or too small. The one thing to maybe be aware of is that because the chair is built to be light and easy to move, it is smaller and didn’t feel as sturdy when I briefly tried it (210lbs, 5'10"). I guess it's just a trade-off for having such an incredibly compact and portable chair. That’s great for kids, but larger adults might find it too snug for them. Pros: - Small size and light - great for traveling. - Carrying it around is a piece of cake. - Sets up in no time. - Great for kids! - The bag it comes with feels durable and is easy to pack it into! Cons: - Might be a tight fit for larger adults and the legs flexed more than I was comfortable with when I sat in it - likely would be fine but I was afraid to lean and put too much pressure on it (unavoidable trade-off for being so light) In a nutshell, the iClimb chair is great for those who want something light and easy. 100% recommended for kids... but, if you're a larger adult looking for a comfy seat to fully lean back in, you might want to consider carrying a sturdier (but also heavier) option.

Modifications needed for beach use
I bought 2 of these chairs for a trip to Hawaii. The plan was to pack them in my suitcase and use them on the beaches, instead of renting chairs. Much to my dismay and several hand blisters later, we were traveling from Island to Island without being able to collapse these chairs fully. Sand had wedged itself into every groove possible, especially the joints of the bottom bar. We tried twisting, hammering, soap, oil, and prayers. Nothing, it seemed, would dislodge the poles for collapsing. In a desperate hour before boarding the plane, we managed to finally return both chairs to their bags. How we managed was nothing short of a miracle and the truest definition of teamwork. You may be wondering why the 4 star rating then. Well these chairs are the perfect travel companion at less than 2 pounds each and so small they fit in checked luggage with our tiny camping table, a shade tent, snorkeling gear, and all the clothing/supplies I would need for 3 weeks in Hawaii. They are fairly decent chairs once assembled and we achieved our goal of saving money by never renting chairs. Here's your PRO TIP should you decide these chairs are right for you: wrap the joint with something to keep out the sand (we used tin foil from a dollar store) and set the assembled chair's bottom bar into the open carrying bag before setting the whole thing in the sand. We haven't looked back. Works like a charm!

Lightweight and comfortable!
This chair is awesome and super sturdy. It's very lightweight, and folds up relatively small to fit in a backpack. I plan to bring this with me when I go backpacking. It's also very comfortable to sit in, and keeps your back supported for short periods, despite it sitting so low to the ground. It fits perfectly under my tent (see photo) if I want to chill or cook if it's raining. I honestly would buy it again.

Great value in a lightweight, backpacking chair
I wanted a lightweight share without spending over a hundred bucks on a Helinox. At 28 oz (full mesh seat) in the bag, this chair is a great value at forty bucks. It's not far off the ground, so I often drop into with some force, but it has held up nicely. Takes a little effort to get out of it for the same reason, but it's a very comfortable chair. Not the easiest chair to set up, but not the hardest either. Not the lightest but certainly light enough for backpacking. Completely satisfied.

Packed it in my suitcase and used it at the beach in Mexico - awesome find
I bought this chair for a trip to beaches in Mexico. It was excellent for this purpose. It is very light weight and compact. The assembly is easy, and when you pull it out of the case and give it a few shakes, it assembles the large part of the frame on its own. The chair is comfortable, but a little tippy. It almost touches the ground. The drink holder actually works. Other reviewers have complained about sand. It was a little bit of an issue until we figured out the need to shake out the sand before packing. I also take the zipper pouch and put it over the main bar on the bottom to keep the sand out and to minimize sinking. We saw several longing looks from other tourists. This chair was a game-changer for our trip.

Fair Lightweight Chair (But Could Be Better)
Overall decent chair - if you get it on sale. I paid about $33 to get the mesh version in Used Like New condition. Assembly is not too bad, though you do have to pay attention to putting the lower legs on in the right direction, so I will keep the instructions (photographic and written, very helpful). There is no lumbar support and it does have a little bit of the "slipping out" feel due to the material and reclined curve, so I shove a jacket or pillow behind my back. As others have noted, it's low. I like that I can rock back on the back legs some, like in the product pictures, but I don't completely trust the strength of the legs in that position (and I'm about 135lb), so don't do it too often. The weight listed in the description appears to be accurate. My mesh chair was supposed to be 1.7lb and without the carry case it came out to 1lb 9oz, or 1.5625lb. I just used the webbing and clip that are attached to the legs for stability to wrap it up in a bundle, so no bag needed to keep all the parts together.

Have used this on 3 or 4 camps now - great design and very comfortable - it is low to the ground so getting out of it might be tricky for some but it’s a great lightweight portable chair - would recommend to any backpacker who doesn’t want to take a chair because it’s too much weight but doesn’t want to spend crazy money on the ultralight stuff - this is a great compromise I think

I haven't taken it out on the trails yet but it was easy to set up, very confy to sit in and feels sturdy and strong... I'm only small and light so perfect for me but I wouldn't recommend it for someone very tall or heavy. Better for those under 60-70kg max

Me parecían geniales, hasta que los llevé a la playa por primera vez. La arena se mete en la conexión de los tubos y es prácticamente imposible desmontarlos. Quizás podría sentarme en una manta.

Extremely high quality and only slightly heavier than the Helinox ground chair which is over double the price. I used it for solo camping and it’s extremely comfortable, feels more like you’re melting into it than sitting in it. It’s also great for use with a compact table or a campfire, since you’re lower to the ground and can use things on the floor without having to lean down. I weigh somewhere between 75 and 80 kilograms so I’m not a light person nor am I pushing the recommended weight limit, but the chair is extremely sturdy for how compact it is and at no point was I worried that it wouldn’t support me. It’s very easy to put together and pack down and fits nicely in the bag included. Due to how low to the ground it is, getting in and out of it may be difficult for older people or those with disabilities, so please keep that in mind if you’re someone with a limited range of mobility.
