I got this pen because my last name is Garland and I absolutely love it. It writes smooth and is very stylish. Buy it. You’ll love it.

The pen has a solid feel and the mechanism to extend and retract the point operates smoothly. The ink is a standard refill so it should be easy to select and replace when necessary. I like the design and the covering is mostly smooth. The top seems to be perfect but there is a ridge on the lower half that is rough. Noticeable but not an issue. The pen comes in a nice box and would make a good gift. I like the feel of using the pen.

I use this when I do book signings. It works great. I often have to sign 1000 books at a single appearance. The pen never slows down.

Honestly, I feel this pen is more gimmicky than to be taken seriously and that is including the price point. I suppose if you're someone into camouflage or know someone that would like a pen of this nature, than go for it. That being said, as a writing instrument, it feels just the same as using regular pens you would buy as a pack set for school. The pen's ink skipped on paper for me on multiple occasions as I was writing, and I wasn't confident using it as a writing instrument on a daily basis. For me I got better results using a Zebra or BiC pens, but you may think otherwise.

I have a number of pens made by Garland, I like that they’re made in the USA product. They do little extras like you can see in my picture above it has the little garland tissue paper on the outside, I just think that’s a nice touch. also the box that comes in is a very nice gifting box. Just a note to Garland, the box this one came in was very difficult to get open it was one of the slide boxes and it was challenging without ripping The outer box. I didn’t hold that against it though, it’s not the pens fault. This pen has a nice hand feel right very nicely. The only thing that I haven’t decided if I like or dislike yet, is the outside of the pen were most of them have a glossy finish this one has more of a Matte finish or feel where the Paisley is on the pen. I don’t dislike it I just haven’t decided if I like it or not yet. Other than that I think it’s a beautiful pen, definitely unique. Price is a little higher but I have about six garland pens myself and have given many for presents. I know that they are Quality made and will last a long time. Particularly since you can buy refills for them. I definitely recommend this item, very happy to give it five stars

This is a good-looking, elegant pen with a good weight that feels great to handle. It writes well and has a good price point. It comes nicely packaged, so it would make a nice gift.
