Leona working with an executive producer for the first time: Fraser T Smith. The pair first met ten years previously when Leona was unknown and recording demos, working hard for that first big break. A decade later and Leona stepped back into the vocal booth in front of Fraser as a global superstar. Sharing a vision and a passion for everything this album should be, Glassheart is an accomplished and passionate follow up to Leona’s previous two studio albums; Sprit and Echo . From the anguished epic opener of "Trouble", the sheer breathtaking beauty of "Fireflies" and the heartbreaking honesty of "Un Love Me", Glassheart is an intimate, inspired album that sees Leona opening up and laying her emotions bare. Along with tracks like "Fingerprint" and "When It Hurts" this album cements her position as one of the greatest vocalists of her generation. In May of this year Leona previewed the edgy "Come Alive" showcasing a different sound and energy that can also be heard on tracks "Glassheart" and "Shake You Up". Another stand out moment is the moody "I To You", an epic and sinister ballad set against a lush sound-bed of strings. Leona's worked alongside some of the best songwriters and producers around, including: Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, Craze and Hoax, Ina Wroldsen, Bonnie McKee, Kelly Sheehan, Ryan Tedder, Autumn Rowe and Rodney Jerkins. Fraser came on board last year following a recording session that Leona felt exactly captured the spirit and subtleties of Glassheart . He was able to weave a creative thread though the project and help Leona create a bespoke album. Speaking about Fraser’s involvement Leona said, “He’s captured everything so beautifully. He’s so musical and sensitive to what I need as a vocalist.” Review: Don't mind if she breaks my Glassheart! - I've been waiting for this album like FOREVER! After listening to "Collide", I started having a better opinion about Leona Lewis. I always believed she was, indisputably, a strong vocalist, but she never caught my attention. After thoroughly listening to "Echo" all summer (now being one of my favourite albums), my anticipation was building up. Then, she performed "Come alive" live and that was it, I was officially obsessed! I wanted "Glassheart" so badly; I wanted to discover all the surprises that the album had to offer. And my first surprise came along with the tracklist. NO "Collide"! I mean, who throws away such a great song? I was let down but still wanted to see how the album turned out. Finally, it's a bit safe with a few edgier tracks, but all in all a masterpiece. Better than "Echo", no. It will be difficultly topped. But that's A-OK! She managed to combine dark with happy, techno and dance with power ballads, all wrapped in one with a cute ribbon on it! The whole album managed to get an instant 5/5 in my music library. It touched my heart and haunted me with its lyrics and melodies. The absolute highlights of this album are: Lovebird, Come alive, fireflies, I to you, favourite scar and the one and only Glassheart." Come alive" is a haunting techno ballad that one will fall in love with instantly." Glassheart" is the ultimate dance ballad that, if released, will be an unsurprising club jam and #1 hit; it reminds me of Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat", but this is a lot better. The rest of the highlights are great ballads and mid-tempos whose melody will play on repeat in your head. As for the rest of the album tracks, they are pop gems, no fillers, no mediocrities. The deluxe bonus disc includes acoustic versions of "Trouble", "Come alive" and "Glassheart", "Colorblind" taken from "Hurt: The EP", a brand new song called "Sugar" and Afrojack's remix of "Collide". It's a great addition to the album worth every penny. This album convinced me that Leona Lewis is here to stay and the greatness of "Echo" wasn't something that accidentally happened. She is super-talented, fierce and proves that the artist's impact on a record raises it on a whole different level. The album would be best if it actually included the original version of "Collide" and used a better cover, but that's what Japanese releases are for, right? P.S.: I would have lived without the single version of "Trouble" which features Childish Gambino, on the album! Review: great comeback album - I love Leona (who doesn't, right?), but, honestly and sadly, I didn't love Echo so much. I was initially really drawn to her beautiful performances such as FIrst Time I Saw Your Face and Somewhere with Il Divo, so I was not so sure about the more main stream music she produced in Echo and the way she sang them. But Glassheart, I don't know what it is, I really really like all the songs, even though she included few ballad. The variety of music on this album is so wide and you never get bored listening to it. She took some risks and great music was born as a result. And I hope the same producer will produce her next album. oh, don't forget to check out her performance of Let The Sun Shine on YouTube. It's so beautiful. You can get that song on the BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge CD.

Fab Album
this album is very classic to Leona Lewis, however with a modern twist. Her voice is unbeatable, & there are some real catchy ones on there

Phenomenal!
This album was well worth the wait. Each track is amazing, including spectacular ballads like Fingerprint and Un Love Me, and also the best track on the album - Glassheart, which brings in more upbeat different genres to Leona's music. When I first listened to the album, I loved every track except for the more mellow Favourite Scar (which I still liked but just not as much) which has a slight reggae tinge, however this some has definitely grown on me, and is now one of my favourite tracks from the album. Stand out tracks are: Glassheart, Shake You Up, Un Love Me & Fingerprint.

Her best yet!!!
Three years it's taken...three long years!! But boy was it worth the wait... There isn't one track that I skip....every one's a belter, with my personal stand-outs being Fireflies and Fingerprint but the one that sums up the 'new' Leona is the thumping title track - Glassheart - it's had rave reviews from non-Leona fans as well as her own.... if this isn't her next single, there's something seriously wrong with Syco's decision-making team, and they should all be fired!!! Buy this album now - it's worth every penny!!

Same songs different titles. !
I have been disappointed with all Leona's albums and think I may not be alone. The superb voice and emotional delivery is there but the material is always soul/r&b style, even the ballads . What I had hoped for after her haunting and beautiful versions of songs like "I will always love you" on the X Factor was more variety and use of some of the fantastic songwriters out there...this all smacks of Simon Cowell being lazy and to be honest, there are already too many female R&B singers out ther..Leona's voice deserves so much more than this stuff.

Well worth the wait
I pre-ordered this over a year ago - the release date was put back twice- but it was worth the wait. I was a tad apprehensive, having read mediocre reviews in the press, and been disappointed with her performance on X Factor (is it just me or is the sound quality on that programme always dire?) If you liked the first two albums, I'm sure you will like this one, packed with songs to suit her unique vocal style. No standout or weak tracks for me- they are all good, and that's after just one listen. One other thing worth a mention: if you are of a certain age and put off by references to dub-style, techno etc, don't be - it's all done in the best possible taste!Just looking forward to the tour next May now.

Words can not explain how amazing this album is...
I have been waiting a very very long time for Glassheart and it definitely was worth the wait. It's a mix of old and new Leona styles. The songs titled Un Love Me,Lovebird, Fireflies, Stop the Clocks, When It Hurts, and Fingerprints are all the type of tunes that Leona fans typically would enjoy from her. She surprises us though with Trouble, Come Alive, I to You, Shake You Up, Favourite Scar, Glassheart, and on the deluxe version of the album, Sugar. Also, the acoustic versions of Come Alive, Trouble, and Glassheart, on the deluxe version of the album, are beyond amazing. Whether you like Leona's music or not it really can not be denied that her vocals are beyond spectacular. Few singers have a voice half as good as hers and she deserves massive amounts of praise for this fantastic album.

GENIAL
