Q: New question. this says it is non conductive, if i treat my rc lipo batteries plugs (male and female ends) will it reduce or block the connection? thx

Yes you can. I first started using this on my RV battery bank back in 2003. I was sold by the fact that it was being advertised as "Non Conductive". It was beig shown at an RV show "on of the biggest in the world" in Quartzite, AZ. The guy selling it had a 6in. a/c tv (with the casing removed exposing the electronics) that he plugged into a 110v socket and dropped into a plexiglass tank full of CorrosionX. he then reached into the tank with bare hands and turned it on. The tv lit up and then, while he still had his hands in the tank, he turned the channels to prove it was all working. I am an electrician by trade and would never recommend this but the truth is I had the same batteries in that first coach for over 6 years and they looked as good as new when I sold it. I now have a new coach and a full blown solar system, with a huge battery bank and over 1100 watts of solar panels, which which I have had installed for 3 years and treat with CorrosionX twice a year. The system looks like it was installed yesterday and there isn't a spotof corrosion on any visible part of my RV. The stuff is awesome! As a retired Navy Aircraft Electrician I can honestly say I wish I had had this stuff to work with in the 70's. It would have made my job much easier! It now carries a Mil. Spec. number and is used extinsively in the military.

Q: Can a surface cleaned with CorrosionX be painted?

You cannot paint over a metal surface protected with CorrosionX, as the paint will not adhere. By virtue of its chemistry, CorrosionX bonds to any metal or metal alloy that can oxidize, and will form a solid, self-healing Fluid Thin Film Coating (FTFC) that will prevent any substance from contacting the metal surface. Usually this means oxygen, water, saltwater, etc., but in the case of paint, it won't be able to adhere. This "Polar Bonding" is quite strong, so we would recommend cleaning the metal surface with MEK to ensure the CorrosionX is removed entirely before you attempt to paint.

Q: Can this be used on surfaces that get hot, such as lawnmower and 2-cycle engine blocks?

I have coated fifty-cal machine guns with the stuff and it protects them very well. But whenever you fire them hot, the Corrosion-X smokes right off. Not a problem really, just soak them in Corrosion-X again after they are cool enough to handle. I would imagine this would work with the exterior of any machine just as well. I don't know if those fumes are toxic, but I avoided breathing any of it just the same.

Q: Is it true that this stuff is the exact same as their clp formula? a review of the product claims they spoke with owner and he said so

The contents are the same, only the packaging is different. The CorrosionX Ultimate CLP label is specific to firearms applications, whereas the red label cover a broader variety of applications.
